Indonesian President Prabowo Urges Israel to Recognize Palestinian State for Peace.

Jakarta – May 28, 2025 During a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Merdeka Palace, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto made a strong appeal for Israel to officially recognize the state of Palestine. He said Indonesia is ready to establish diplomatic relations with Israel — but only if Israel first acknowledges Palestinian sovereignty.

“Once Israel recognizes Palestine as a sovereign nation, Indonesia is prepared to recognize Israel and open diplomatic ties,” President Prabowo stated clearly.

Beyond words, President Prabowo also expressed Indonesia’s willingness to contribute peacekeeping forces to help maintain stability in the conflict-ridden region. This shows Indonesia’s readiness to play an active role in promoting peace.

President Prabowo has long supported the two-state solution as the only fair way to bring lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis. He highlighted Indonesia’s support for an upcoming high-level summit organized by France and Saudi Arabia in June, aiming to push for meaningful dialogue and progress.

At the same time, Prabowo emphasized that Israel’s right to exist as a sovereign state and its security must also be respected. “Peace can only be achieved if the rights and security of both nations are guaranteed,” he said.

During the meeting, Prabowo also praised France’s active role in advocating for justice and humanitarian access in Palestine. He pointed out that Indonesia and France share the same vision to end violence and improve humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

“France will keep urging for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and full humanitarian access,” said President Prabowo.

Indonesia’s stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict reflects the principles in the preamble of Indonesia’s 1945 Constitution, which calls for contributing to global order based on independence, lasting peace, and social justice.

Warm Welcome from Indonesian Students to French President Macron: A Proud and Memorable Moment

Warm Welcome from Indonesian Students to French President Macron: A Proud and Memorable Moment
Warm Welcome from Indonesian Students to French President Macron: A Proud and Memorable Moment.

On the morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the area around Indonesia’s National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta was filled with excitement and smiles. Thousands of students from various schools gathered enthusiastically, waving small Indonesian and French flags. They were eagerly awaiting the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, who were on a state visit to Indonesia.

As President Macron’s official car passed by, the students shouted together, “Welcome to Indonesia, Mr. President!” The president responded warmly by opening the car window and waving back, while the students cheered and waved their flags. At several moments, President Macron gave a thumbs-up as a sign of appreciation for the warm welcome he received.

This moment was more than just a chance to see a world leader up close — it was an unforgettable experience for the students. Many had gathered early in the morning, traveling together from their schools to the heart of Jakarta, excited to be part of this historic event.

“It was so much fun and lively. Plus, we got to meet students from other schools too. It’s an experience I’ll never forget,” said Rangga, a student from SMKN 3 Jakarta, with a big smile.

The welcoming ceremony was truly special. It included 17 motorcyclists and 75 horseback riders, adding grandeur and excitement to the event. For Raisya, another student from SMKN 3 Jakarta, this was more than just a formal occasion — it was a chance to showcase Indonesia’s unity and hospitality.

“President Macron could see that Indonesia’s welcome was impressive. We were united, there were horseback riders, and all the students were really enthusiastic,” she said proudly.

Syifa and Putri, students from SMAN 30 Jakarta, also expressed their admiration for the event.

“We saw the horses and the motorcade — it was really cool! We felt honored to be part of the welcoming for such an important visitor,” Putri shared with a smile.

This state visit carries a deep meaning in strengthening the diplomatic ties between Indonesia and France. More importantly, President Macron’s presence today gave a valuable lesson to the young generation — about togetherness, pride in their country, and respect for international guests.

Today, these students stood proudly in the front line with bright smiles and high spirits. Flags waved, enthusiasm soared. It was a rare experience they will remember for a lifetime.

Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. This state visit marked a significant milestone as both countries celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations and over a decade of strategic partnership.

In his welcoming remarks, President Prabowo expressed his gratitude for President Macron’s visit to Indonesia.

“Welcome to Indonesia, Your Excellency. It is a great honor for us. This year, we celebrate 75 years of diplomatic ties and more than ten years of strategic partnership between our countries,” said President Prabowo.

A Relationship Built on Mutual Respect and Shared Principles

President Prabowo emphasized that the cooperation between Indonesia and France is not accidental but based on strong political ties and mutual respect for sovereignty, as well as shared commitment to democracy and human rights.

“Our cooperation is solid because it is founded on mutual respect, upholding sovereignty, and the principles we both hold dear,” he added.

Exploring New Opportunities for Cooperation

Despite the already strong ties and rapid development in various fields, President Prabowo believes there is still vast potential to explore new areas of collaboration. Especially amid global geopolitical uncertainty and economic challenges, partnerships like this are crucial.

“I highly appreciate this meeting, especially at a time when the world is uncertain. Indonesia and France can play an important role in maintaining geopolitical and economic stability,” he said optimistically.

France Seeks to Deepen Strategic Collaboration

On the same occasion, President Macron thanked the Indonesian government for the warm welcome. He stressed that this visit presents an excellent opportunity to further deepen the strategic partnership, particularly in areas such as economy, technology, and security.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen our strategic partnership through concrete cooperation in technology, economy, and security,” Macron said.

Moving Toward a Stronger Future Together

President Macron’s visit to Indonesia was more than a diplomatic ceremony—it was a strong signal of the ongoing commitment between Indonesia and France to work together to maintain global stability and build mutually beneficial partnerships.

With 75 years of proven friendship, it is time for both countries to move forward into a new chapter—one that is closer, more strategic, and more beneficial for the people of both nations.

The departure of Hajj Group 25 is not just a spiritual milestone for the pilgrims, but also a reflection of how well local and national government agencies are working together to serve the people. Let’s pray that all pilgrims from West Kalimantan carry out their pilgrimage smoothly and return safely with valuable spiritual experiences to share with their communities.

John Wick Director Announces New Action Franchise "Sentinel" Featuring a Killer Drone, Coming in 2025

John Wick Director Announces New Action Franchise "Sentinel" Featuring a Killer Drone, Coming in 2025
John Wick Director Announces New Action Franchise "Sentinel" Featuring a Killer Drone, Coming in 2025.

Hey action movie fans! Here’s some exciting news — Chad Stahelski, the director behind the John Wick series, just revealed his next big project: a brand-new action franchise called Sentinel. And yep, the first movie will feature a rogue killer drone. Sounds intense, right?

Stahelski is teaming up with his studio 87Eleven Entertainment and Capstone Studios to bring this project to life. Filming is set to start in fall 2025, so mark your calendars.

The story follows an ordinary mechanic who witnesses the murder of his boss. That moment turns his life upside down, and he ends up on the run — being hunted by a deadly drone that's gone completely out of control. To survive, he hides out deep in the wilderness while trying to uncover the truth. Along the way, he gets unexpected help from a mysterious ally.

The film will be directed by J. Houston Young, who’s known for his work as a trailer editor and action scene designer. The script is being written by Joe Barnathan and Markus Reinhardt, the team behind the Netflix movie Chupa. Stahelski will serve as producer.

What makes Sentinel even more interesting is that the creators say it will explore eerie, near-future themes that might feel a little too close to reality. With Young’s original take on the material, the team is aiming to appeal to a global audience.

But that’s not all — Stahelski’s studio 87Eleven has more action-packed projects in the works. They’re currently developing a movie based on the hit video game Sifu, a new Highlander film starring Henry Cavill, and a samurai action flick called Karoshi. Oh, and don’t forget — the John Wick spin-off Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, premieres on June 4.

So if you’re into high-stakes action, futuristic tech, and killer drones, keep an eye out for Sentinel. It’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting action movies to watch in the near future.

Warner Bros Is Building a $1.25 Billion Mini-City for the New Harry Potter Series in the UK

Warner Bros Is Building a $1.25 Billion Mini-City for the New Harry Potter Series in the UK
Warner Bros Is Building a $1.25 Billion Mini-City for the New Harry Potter Series in the UK.

Exciting news for all Harry Potter fans! Warner Bros has officially started building a massive filming site in the UK for the upcoming Harry Potter series, which is set to premiere on HBO in 2026. But this isn’t just any film set—it’s going to be a fully functioning mini-city!

According to Collider, the project will cost around £1 billion (that’s about $1.25 billion USD) and will be located at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, the same place where the original Harry Potter movies were filmed. So yes, it’s like bringing the wizarding world back to its magical roots—only bigger and better.

This mini-city will be packed with everything a production team could possibly need. It’ll include a brand-new version of Privet Drive, complete roads, parking areas, a school to train young actors, a medical center, and even facilities for animals involved in filming. It’s more than just a set—it’s a full-on working town made just for the show.

The Sun reports that this new setup will work like a “small metropolis,” offering not only detailed sets but also complete infrastructure to support the large number of cast and crew members involved. It’s designed to support production over multiple seasons, so this investment is definitely built for the long haul.

One of the most talked-about changes is the updated look of the Dursleys' house, which will be styled in a pseudo-Tudor design. This seems to be an effort to give the series its own unique visual identity, distinct from the original film franchise.

As for the cast, the adult roles have already been announced! Janet McTeer will play Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, and Luke Treadaway as Professor Quirrell. However, the roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione haven’t been revealed yet. Fun fact: around 32,000 young actors auditioned for these iconic roles!

So if you’re a Potterhead eagerly waiting for the magic to return, get ready for a whole new take on the wizarding world—complete with a brand-new mini-city to bring it all to life. Stay tuned for more updates!

iPhone 17 Air vs iPhone 16 Plus: Apple’s Thinnest and Lightest iPhone Yet?

iPhone 17 Air vs iPhone 16 Plus: Apple’s Thinnest and Lightest iPhone Yet?
iPhone 17 Air vs iPhone 16 Plus: Apple’s Thinnest and Lightest iPhone Yet?

A recent leak from well-known insider Majin Bu gives us a first look at how the upcoming iPhone 17 Air stacks up in size compared to the iPhone 16 Plus. According to reports, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be the direct successor to the 16 Plus and will be officially announced this fall alongside the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

iPhone 17 Air: The Thinnest and Lightest iPhone Ever

Based on the leaked photos and rumors, the iPhone 17 Air will have a thickness of just 5.5 mm to 5.65 mm, making it the slimmest iPhone in Apple’s history. It’s also incredibly lightweight at only 145 grams. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge — which has a similar size — weighs around 163 grams. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Plus is noticeably bulkier and heavier.

Sleek Design Comes with a Trade-Off: Smaller Battery

Of course, with such a thin profile, there are some compromises. According to leaks from Apple’s supply chain, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a smaller battery capacity of just 2,800 mAh. That’s nearly 30% less than the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3,900 mAh battery. But don’t count it out just yet — there’s a strong chance Apple will use high-density battery tech, which could boost the real-world performance by up to 15–20%.

Apple’s Plan to Balance Power and Performance

Some insiders believe that the smaller battery is part of Apple’s strategy to push its smart battery cases more aggressively. Other sources hint that Apple is also working on a new AI-powered energy-saving feature that could help stretch out battery life despite the lower capacity.

If you're looking for an ultra-slim and lightweight smartphone, the iPhone 17 Air might be exactly what you need. Even though the battery is smaller, Apple’s smart features — like AI-driven energy efficiency and optional battery cases — could make this device a solid daily driver.

Pontianak – The Pontianak City Police just carried out the official weighing of 47 gold bars suspected to be linked to illegal activity. The total weight? A whopping 32.9 kilograms! This weighing took place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at a shop in the Perdana Square complex, Pontianak.

This process is part of an ongoing investigation into two police reports currently being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Pontianak Police. To ensure accuracy, the weighing was done with the help of Pegadaian (State Pawnshop), Mawar Branch Pontianak, known for their expertise in assessing the purity and weight of gold.

According to AKP Wawan Darmawan, S.I.K., head of the criminal unit, the first case (Police Report No. 17) resulted in the seizure of 44 gold bars weighing 28.403 kg. In addition, several Simba-branded gold pieces of various sizes were also confiscated, adding another 1.338 kg.

In the second case (Police Report No. 18), 3 more gold bars were seized, weighing a total of 3.163 kg.

In total, 47 gold bars were confiscated across both cases, with a combined weight of over 32.9 kilograms.

“All the seized gold is currently being held at the Pontianak Police as evidence for the ongoing legal process,” said AKP Wawan.

He also mentioned that they’re awaiting the arrival of expert examiners from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) who will be flying in from Jakarta. A total of eight individuals will be questioned to support the investigation.

“Once the expert examinations are done, we’ll submit the case files to the Pontianak District Attorney’s Office for further legal action,” he added.

This operation clearly shows how serious the Pontianak Police are in tackling illegal gold distribution. It's not just about enforcing the law, but also about showing their commitment to fighting organized crime in the region.

Why Are Gojek Drivers Protesting Today? Key Demands and Impact Explained

Why Are Gojek Drivers Protesting Today? Key Demands and Impact Explained
Why Are Gojek Drivers Protesting Today? Key Demands and Impact Explained.

Hey there! You’ve probably seen the buzz about the big ride-hailing driver protests happening today, right? Yep, Gojek drivers—those online motorcycle taxi drivers—are taking to the streets to raise their voices about some important issues.

If you’re wondering what’s behind these protests, why the drivers are upset, and how this could affect Gojek and even its parent company’s stock (GOTO), let me break it down for you in simple terms.

What’s Causing the Gojek Driver Protests Today?

The main reason for the protest is that many Gojek drivers are unhappy with new rules about fares and commission fees. They feel like the changes are cutting into their earnings, but their daily expenses haven’t gone down. So, their income feels tighter than before.

Because of that, they organized a protest to make sure their concerns reach Gojek’s management and also the Ministry of Transportation, which oversees online transportation services in Indonesia.

What Are the Main Demands of the Gojek Drivers?

Here are the key demands the drivers are asking for:

  • Lower the app’s commission fees to 10%

  • Increase the delivery and passenger fares

  • Issue clear regulations for food and goods delivery services

  • Set fair and transparent net fares that drivers receive

  • Push the government to pass an official Online Transportation Law in Indonesia

Is the Ministry of Transportation Getting Involved?

Yes, the Ministry plays a crucial role here because they regulate transport services, including ride-hailing apps like Gojek. Many drivers hope the Ministry can help mediate between them and Gojek so that everyone can find a fair solution.

How Does the Gojek Driver Protest Affect You and Others?

When drivers protest, it usually means fewer available drivers on the road. So, riders might find it harder to book a ride, leading to frustration.

Besides customers, investors are also watching closely, especially those who own shares in GOTO—the merged company of Gojek and Tokopedia. If the protests drag on without a resolution, it could hurt the company’s performance on the stock market.

That’s why Gojek needs to act fast to fix things so both drivers and the company can be happy.

Why Is May 20, 2025, Such an Important Date?

You might have seen people asking, “What’s happening on May 20, 2025?” That’s because the drivers chose this day for a major protest to make sure their demands get maximum attention from the public and the government.

So, if you want to stay updated on the Gojek driver protests, mark this date in your calendar!

How Can You Stay Informed or Support the Drivers?

If you want to keep track or show your support, here are some simple ways:

  • Follow trusted news sources and social media for the latest updates on the protests

  • Respect the drivers during their demonstrations and avoid causing trouble on the streets

  • Join conversations or sign petitions advocating for fairer online transportation policies

  • If it’s hard to find a Gojek ride because of the protest, try other transportation options temporarily

This ongoing protest reminds us that working as a ride-hailing driver isn’t easy, and these drivers deserve fair treatment. Understanding their reasons and demands helps us appreciate their struggle and support a healthier, fairer ride-hailing industry in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Gojek and the GOTO investors should work quickly to find solutions that keep everyone satisfied and the business running smoothly.

Charlie Chandra Faces Up to 6 Years in Prison Over Alleged Land Document Forgery at PIK 2

Charlie Chandra Faces Up to 6 Years in Prison Over Alleged Land Document Forgery at PIK 2
Charlie Chandra Faces Up to 6 Years in Prison Over Alleged Land Document Forgery at PIK 2.

Charlie Chandra is now facing serious legal trouble after being officially named a suspect in a land document forgery case involving 8.7 hectares of property in PIK 2, Banten. According to the Banten Police, Charlie is being charged under Article 263 of the Indonesian Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55, which deal with document falsification and complicity in a criminal act.

"He's facing a maximum sentence of six years in prison," said Police Commissioner Dian Setyawan, Head of the General Crime Division at Banten Police, in a written statement released on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

So, what exactly happened?

Authorities explained that Charlie allegedly processed a name transfer for land certificate SHM No. 5/Lemodari, originally registered under the name Sumuta Chandra. The problem? He did this knowing full well that the certificate had already been invalidated through an official letter from the Banten Regional Land Office (BPN), under decree number 3/Pbt/BPN.36/III/2023, dated March 3, 2023.

Even more concerning, the certificate was reportedly issued based on a fake Deed of Sale and Purchase (AJB), where the seller's fingerprint—belonging to someone named The Pit Nio—had been forged. This isn’t just an allegation; it's backed by a 1993 court decision (Case No. 596/PID/S/1993/PN/TNG, dated December 16, 1993), which confirmed the AJB was fraudulent.

But that’s not all.

Charlie is also accused of creating a false statement claiming he had physical control over the land in question. He used this statement to support the name transfer request. However, investigators say he never actually occupied or controlled the property.

This case highlights how serious land fraud can be and the importance of verifying land ownership documents before making any property-related decisions.

If you're involved in buying or selling property, this story serves as a big reminder: always double-check land certificates, and make sure everything is legally sound. One mistake or one forged document can lead to years behind bars—and a lot of financial damage.

Charlie Chandra Arrested at Home After Faking His Way Out of Police Summons

Charlie Chandra Arrested at Home After Faking His Way Out of Police Summons
Charlie Chandra Arrested at Home After Faking His Way Out of Police Summons.

After days of dodging law enforcement, Charlie Chandra, a 48-year-old suspect in a forged documents case, was finally arrested by Banten Police at his home in Kemayoran, North Jakarta, on Monday evening, May 19, 2025, around 7 PM.

According to AKBP Mirodin, Head of the Sub-Directorate for Harda Bangtah at the Banten Police Criminal Investigation Unit, investigators had tried for more than two days to reach out to Charlie and his family in a peaceful way. They even agreed to a formal request from Charlie to issue a written summons, which he claimed he would comply with.

“We started trying to contact him since Saturday, May 17. Charlie and his lawyer insisted on a formal summons, saying he’d show up at our office voluntarily. We went along with it, hoping he’d cooperate,” Mirodin said during a press briefing on Tuesday, May 20.

But things took a turn when Charlie failed to show up as promised. To make matters worse, his legal team posted videos claiming they were accompanying him to the Banten Police. In reality, it wasn’t Charlie at all.

“They arrived around 9:30 AM at our headquarters, but the person with them wasn’t Charlie—it was his look-alike. They didn’t meet with investigators. Instead, they just livestreamed everything, trying to make it look like Charlie was cooperating. It was all fake,” Mirodin explained.

Meanwhile, officers still watching Charlie’s home spotted him on the second floor of his house, wearing a light blue collared shirt and black pants. This confirmed that the video shared by his legal team was misleading.

“There was no police escort for Charlie. In fact, just after his lawyers arrived at our office, Charlie was seen at home, even waving at officers like he was mocking us for not catching him sooner,” said Mirodin.

That moment triggered a swift and coordinated response. Investigators stormed Charlie’s house and arrested him on the spot. The forced arrest was made because Charlie had refused to cooperate and was clearly trying to deceive the authorities.

“We had no choice but to take firm action. The Banten High Prosecutor’s Office had already issued a P21 letter for this case, meaning it was time to hand over the suspect and evidence. We were simply doing our job according to the law,” Mirodin added.
