No Chill on Booze: Police Are Going All Out
According to Kombes Pol Ihsan, S.I.K., the spokesperson for Polda DIY, this isn’t just a one-time thing. The police are seriously committed to getting rid of illegal alcohol in Yogyakarta.
“We’re doing this to protect people. Illegal alcohol isn’t just dangerous to your health—it also leads to crime. We’ll keep doing these raids to make Yogyakarta safer and more peaceful,” he said.
And he’s right—unlicensed booze has been linked to everything from poisoning to street fights. No one wants that.
Let’s Team Up: If You See Something, Say Something
The cops aren’t asking you to be a superhero, but they do want your help. Don’t drink or sell alcohol without a license, and if you see something sketchy going on—report it.
Your neighborhood will be way better off if everyone does their part.
This booze bust is more than just a headline—it’s part of a bigger mission to keep the streets safe, chill, and clean. With continued efforts from the police and support from the community, Yogyakarta can totally be a city that’s free from the dangers of illegal alcohol.
So, if you know someone selling shady drinks? Speak up. Let’s make Yogyakarta a safer place—together.
