This one’s disturbing and heartbreaking. A 63-year-old man, let’s call him IB, from Kopo District, Serang, just got arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting his autistic neighbor, a 47-year-old woman. The shocking part? He got caught in the act by the victim’s young niece — and tried to silence her violently.
According to Serang Police Chief AKBP Condro Sasongko, IB was taken into custody on Friday, July 11, 2025, right at his home, just hours after the victim’s family filed an official report.
“We’ve arrested the suspect and placed him in Serang Police custody for further investigation,” said the police chief, quoted by Antaranews on Sunday, July 13.
What Really Happened?
It all went down on Wednesday, June 25, around 1:30 PM. The victim was home alone — and that’s when IB decided to make his sick move.
He knew she was vulnerable and alone. That’s when he sneaked into her house, straight into her room where she was asleep. He didn’t care that a little kid — the victim’s niece — saw him walk in.
And yes, sadly, he did the unthinkable.
Right when he was doing his awful act, the little girl walked in. Instead of backing off, IB kicked her in the stomach to shut her up. But this brave kid ran straight to some nearby residents hanging out at a warung (local food stall) and told them everything.
Locals Stormed the House and Found Him Red-Handed
The neighbors didn’t wait around. They rushed to the house, busted open the door, and caught the predator in action. They immediately took him to the local neighborhood leader (RT) to keep him safe from being attacked by the angry crowd.
A few days later, on Monday, June 30, the victim’s family officially reported the case to the police.
What’s Next for the Suspect?
Now, IB is facing serious jail time. He’s been charged under Article 6(c) of Indonesia’s Law No. 12/2022 on Sexual Violence Crimes, which carries a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.
