Banjarbaru – Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, recorded a total of 12,958 passengers transported on 118 flights over the two-day Eid al-Fitr holiday on Saturday and Sunday (March 21–22, 2026).

“Passengers were transported on 118 flights over the two-day Eid holiday this Saturday and Sunday,” said Ahmad Zulfian Noor, Head of Branch Communication & CSR Department at Syamsudin Noor International Airport, on Sunday.

On Saturday (March 21), 6,139 passengers flew on 58 flights, while on Sunday (March 22), 6,819 passengers were served by 60 flights.

Since H-8 until Eid day, a total of 91,781 travelers have passed through the airport on 860 flights. Zulfian added that the peak of return traffic is expected on Saturday, March 28, 2026, with 12,716 passengers.

“Several airlines have prepared additional flights if needed to handle significant passenger surges,” he explained. So far, 52 additional flights have already operated to serve the Eid travelers.

Syamsudin Noor International Airport continues to optimize its services to ensure smooth inbound and outbound travel, including health protocols, digital information systems, and coordination with airline operators.
