Landak – Fuel queues at several gas stations in Landak Regency have caught the serious attention of Regent Karolin Margret Natasa. She acted quickly, coordinating across sectors to ensure smooth fuel distribution so that the public would not be disrupted, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026.
Since queues appeared in areas like Ngabang and nearby regions, Karolin instructed local government officials to work with the police and gas station operators. The goal: ensure orderly service and equitable fuel availability.
“We are not standing still. From the beginning, we coordinated and requested faster distribution to Landak, especially at gas stations with long queues,” Karolin said during a coordination meeting with the West Kalimantan Forkopimda and Pertamina on Friday evening (March 20, 2026).

“Fuel in West Kalimantan is stored at the Pontianak Terminal. Currently, the available stock is very safe,” a Pertamina representative said during the meeting.
Pertamina also schedules ship arrivals every two days to maintain supply for gasoline and diesel, sourced from refineries in Java and storage in Merak.
According to Pertamina, the current queues are caused more by sudden spikes in public demand (panic buying) rather than stock shortages.
In response, Regent Karolin urged the public to remain calm and buy fuel according to their needs so queues can clear faster.
“If purchases are made as usual, without overbuying, distribution will return to normal faster. We all need to help maintain the situation,” Karolin said.
The local government is also pushing for faster deliveries to areas farther from distribution centers to avoid delays. Monitoring continues to prevent hoarding or misuse.
