Pertamina confirms fuel prices remain stable with no increase while strengthening distribution to ensure steady supply amid rising demand.

BANJARMASIN – Pertamina Patra Niaga has confirmed that fuel prices remain stable with no changes, even as public demand continues to rise. The company is prioritizing stronger energy distribution to ensure steady supply across regions.

This policy aligns with government directives and is supported by operational strategies such as supply chain optimization and intensive coordination with energy suppliers.

Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, emphasized that the company is not only implementing pricing policies but also reinforcing distribution strategies to maintain availability in the field.

“We consistently follow government policies, including fuel pricing decisions, while implementing strategic steps such as supplier negotiations and distribution optimization,” he said on Wednesday.

Focus on Supply Stability Amid Price Hike Rumors

Roberth noted that maintaining supply stability is a top priority, especially amid circulating public concerns. Rumors of potential fuel price increases previously triggered a surge in consumption in several regions.

To address this, Pertamina has strengthened its distribution system to prevent supply shortages caused by sudden spikes in demand.

Meanwhile, Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR for Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, Edi Mangun, explained that queues at several gas stations were driven by public concern over the rumored price increases, particularly for subsidized fuel.

“There has been public concern following circulating rumors of fuel price increases, which led to longer queues. However, the government has confirmed that there is no price increase,” he said.

Call to Avoid Panic Buying

Pertamina also urged the public to remain calm and avoid reacting to unverified information.

“We encourage people to use energy wisely according to their needs and not be influenced by information that could trigger panic buying,” Edi added.

The company stressed that responsible consumption plays a key role in maintaining smooth energy distribution nationwide. This is crucial to ensure economic activities continue without disruption.

Commitment to National Energy Security

As a key energy distributor, Pertamina reaffirmed its commitment to complying with government regulations while maintaining reliable services.

Strengthening distribution and maintaining stable prices are expected to support national energy resilience, especially amid increasing mobility and economic activity.

Karolin Natasa Ensures Fuel Stocks Safe and Landak Queues Clear Quickly

Regent Karolin Natasa acts fast to tackle fuel queues in Landak, ensuring safe fuel stock, smooth distribution, and normal public services ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Landak – Fuel queues at several gas stations in Landak Regency have caught the serious attention of Regent Karolin Margret Natasa. She acted quickly, coordinating across sectors to ensure smooth fuel distribution so that the public would not be disrupted, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026.

Since queues appeared in areas like Ngabang and nearby regions, Karolin instructed local government officials to work with the police and gas station operators. The goal: ensure orderly service and equitable fuel availability.

“We are not standing still. From the beginning, we coordinated and requested faster distribution to Landak, especially at gas stations with long queues,” Karolin said during a coordination meeting with the West Kalimantan Forkopimda and Pertamina on Friday evening (March 20, 2026).

In addition, Regent Karolin requested direct monitoring in the field to ensure fuel reaches the public and does not pile up in certain locations.

This swift action aims to keep community activities running normally, as fuel demand usually spikes ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Meanwhile, Pertamina confirmed that fuel stocks for West Kalimantan are secure. Supplies are stored at the Pontianak Fuel Terminal and are continuously reinforced with regular deliveries from other regions.

“Fuel in West Kalimantan is stored at the Pontianak Terminal. Currently, the available stock is very safe,” a Pertamina representative said during the meeting.

Pertamina also schedules ship arrivals every two days to maintain supply for gasoline and diesel, sourced from refineries in Java and storage in Merak.

According to Pertamina, the current queues are caused more by sudden spikes in public demand (panic buying) rather than stock shortages.

In response, Regent Karolin urged the public to remain calm and buy fuel according to their needs so queues can clear faster.

“If purchases are made as usual, without overbuying, distribution will return to normal faster. We all need to help maintain the situation,” Karolin said.

The local government is also pushing for faster deliveries to areas farther from distribution centers to avoid delays. Monitoring continues to prevent hoarding or misuse.

“We ensure this supply reaches the public. We supervise together so no one is disadvantaged,” Karolin emphasized.

With swift measures and cross-sector coordination, the government is optimistic that fuel queues can be resolved soon, keeping the public calm and services optimal.

Pertamina Strengthens LPG Supply In West Kalimantan Before Eid 1447 H

Pertamina adds 497K LPG 3 kg cylinders in West Kalimantan ahead of Ramadan and Eid 1447 H to anticipate rising public demand.

Pontianak — As Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri approach, household energy demand is expected to rise significantly. In response, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan has stepped up by increasing the supply of 3-kilogram LPG cylinders across West Kalimantan.

The additional supply is substantial, reaching more than 497,000 LPG cylinders distributed through a facultative allocation system to multiple regions.

Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR for Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, Edi Mangun, stated that the distribution is being carried out evenly across several regencies and cities.

These include Bengkayang, Kapuas Hulu, North Kayong, Ketapang, Kubu Raya, Landak, Melawi, Mempawah, Sambas, Sanggau, Sekadau, Sintang, as well as Pontianak City and Singkawang City.

According to Edi, this move reflects Pertamina’s commitment to ensuring energy availability, especially during periods of increased consumption.

“Pertamina is committed to securing energy supply for the community, including 3-kilogram LPG widely used by households and micro businesses,” he said in Pontianak on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the additional allocation is a preventive measure to ensure that public demand remains fully met through the Eid al-Fitr period.

At the same time, the public is urged not to engage in panic buying. Pertamina reminds consumers to purchase LPG according to their needs and follow the government-regulated Highest Retail Price (HET).

To maintain smooth and targeted distribution, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to collaborate with local governments, relevant agencies, and law enforcement authorities.

Strict monitoring is being implemented to ensure that subsidized LPG reaches the intended beneficiaries, namely low-income households and micro enterprises.

“We encourage those who can afford it to switch to non-subsidized LPG so that subsidies are better targeted,” he added.

Pertamina also stressed that firm action will be taken against any parties attempting to disrupt or misuse the distribution of subsidized LPG.

For public service and transparency, people can access information or report issues through the Pertamina Contact Center at 135, via email at pcc135@pertamina.com, or through official social media @pertamina135.

This initiative is expected to help stabilize energy supply during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr, allowing the public to observe the holiday season without concerns over LPG shortages.
