Pontianak, May 27, 2025 – A heartfelt and spiritual atmosphere filled the main hall of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in West Kalimantan as Group 25 (Kloter 25) of Hajj pilgrims from Sekadau, Sintang, and Ketapang were officially sent off for their journey to the Holy Land.

This send-off event was an emotional moment for the pilgrims, their families, and the local officials who came to offer support and prayers for a safe and smooth pilgrimage.

57 Pilgrims from Sekadau Officially Depart for the Holy Land

Syahrul, S.Ag, Head of the Religious Affairs Office (Kemenag) in Sekadau, delivered an inspiring message to the pilgrims, encouraging them to stay united, take care of their health, and focus on their spiritual journey.

“We hope all pilgrims uphold good conduct, protect the reputation of our region, and support one another during this sacred journey. May everything go smoothly and may all return home safely as mabrur Hajj pilgrims,” said Syahrul.

He also highlighted the preparations made by the Sekadau Kemenag, including Hajj orientation (manasik), administrative arrangements, and technical coordination—all aimed at providing the best service and guidance for the pilgrims.

Smooth and Well-Prepared Departure Process

Samsu Alam, M.Ag, Head of Hajj and Umrah Services at the West Kalimantan Ministry of Religious Affairs, confirmed that the administrative and logistical arrangements for Group 25 had gone smoothly.

“We’ve ensured that all pilgrims receive top-quality service, including accommodation, transportation, and spiritual guidance. Our hope is that everyone can perform their Hajj peacefully and return home healthy and blessed,” said Samsu Alam.

Local Government Support for the Pilgrims

The event was also attended by several local figures, including Hermansyah, Head of the Sekadau Transportation Agency, who represented the district government. He offered moral support and encouragement to the pilgrims.

“We’re committed to fully supporting our pilgrims, especially those from Sekadau, in terms of both transportation and overall services. We hope they can perform their Hajj smoothly and return as blessed individuals,” said Hermansyah.

The departure of Hajj Group 25 is not just a spiritual milestone for the pilgrims, but also a reflection of how well local and national government agencies are working together to serve the people. Let’s pray that all pilgrims from West Kalimantan carry out their pilgrimage smoothly and return safely with valuable spiritual experiences to share with their communities.
