Mark Ruffalo Returns as Bruce Banner in Upcoming Spider-Man Movie “Brand New Day”! |
Good news for Marvel fans! Mark Ruffalo is officially returning as Bruce Banner — yep, the one and only Hulk — in the upcoming Spider-Man film titled “Brand New Day”. And no, this won’t be just a quick cameo. According to Nexus Point News, Ruffalo is set to play a significant role in the storyline!
While it’s still unclear whether he’ll appear in full Hulk form or just as the brilliant scientist Banner, sources say his presence will be major. The current theory? Bruce Banner might take on the role of Peter Parker’s scientific mentor — which totally makes sense, considering both of their story arcs.
The last time we saw Banner was in the She-Hulk series, where he trained his cousin, Jennifer Walters, to control her powers. Back then, he appeared as “Professor Hulk” — a smart and strong version that combines Banner’s brain with Hulk’s strength. So it wouldn’t be surprising if he shows up in that form again in Brand New Day.
This new Spider-Man film will continue the solo journey of Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland. The movie will be directed by Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton, with the script penned by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers — the duo behind the previous Spider-Man hits.
Fans can also look forward to the return of Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. Plus, we’ll be seeing new faces like Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas joining the cast. Rumor has it, villains like Chameleon and Mac Gargan might also show up, so expect plenty of action and surprises!
Filming is scheduled to start in London at the end of July 2025 and wrap up by the fall. The movie is currently set to premiere on July 31, 2026. It’ll be part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and could mark an important turning point not just for Spider-Man, but for Hulk’s story too.
So if you’re curious to see how Bruce Banner fits into Peter Parker’s next chapter, keep an eye out for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting and emotional MCU films yet!
