OnePlus Launches Ace 5 Racing and Extreme Editions in China with Massive Batteries and Flagship Specs. |
The Ace 5 Racing Edition is the more budget-friendly option. In China, the base model (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) is priced at 1,799 yuan (around $250 USD / IDR 4.1 million), while the top variant (16GB + 512GB) costs 2,499 yuan (approximately $345 USD / IDR 6.4 million).
It features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2392 × 1080 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1300 nits brightness. The screen is protected by Crystal Shield Glass, making it more durable.
On the back, there's a 50MP main camera with OIS and a secondary 2MP monochrome sensor. The selfie camera is 16MP. Powering the device is a 7,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging, ensuring you can go all day on a single charge.
Under the hood, it runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400E chipset, and it supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Out of the box, the phone runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15, and OnePlus promises 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches — solid long-term support for a mid-range phone.
OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition – Premium Specs for Power Users
For those looking for a more powerful device, the OnePlus Ace 5 Extreme Edition comes with upgraded features and a more premium build. The base model (12GB + 256GB) starts at 2,499 yuan ($345 USD / IDR 6.4 million), while the top-tier version with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at 3,799 yuan ($525 USD / IDR 10.9 million).
This version boasts a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 2800 × 1272 resolution, refresh rate ranging from 60Hz to 144Hz, and peak brightness of 1,400 nits. Whether you're gaming or streaming content, the visuals are top-notch.
It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, a more powerful version than the one in the Racing Edition. The phone carries a slightly smaller 6,700mAh battery, but with 100W fast charging, you'll be back to full power in no time.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX906) with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and the same 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Global Availability?
Currently, both OnePlus Ace 5 models are available only in China. There's no official word yet on global or Indonesian release, but given OnePlus’ track record, a wider launch might be just around the corner.
With the Ace 5 Racing and Extreme Editions, OnePlus is showing once again that it can deliver high-end features at competitive prices. Huge batteries, fast charging, strong chipsets, and long software support make these phones strong contenders in the upper mid-range and flagship categories.
Whether you're a mobile gamer, a content creator, or just someone who hates charging their phone every few hours — these new OnePlus devices are worth keeping an eye on.
