The case of a leaked explicit video allegedly involving a high school girl from Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency, has gained massive public attention. The video was reportedly recorded without the girl’s consent and illegally shared. The scandal has not only shaken her school environment but also caused serious concern in the local community, especially since one of the names involved is the child of a village official.
The short clip shows a private moment of a 16-year-old girl, identified by the initials DV. Authorities believe the footage was secretly recorded and initially circulated among her classmates before spreading further and surfacing on TikTok in March.
Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway. Several students have already been questioned, including one male teenager believed to be the son of a local village chief.
"This case is being handled by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA). Since it involves a minor, we are proceeding with extreme caution," said Iptu Merdhania Pravita Shanty, the spokesperson for Probolinggo Police.
Despite the ongoing investigation, the community has started to voice frustration over the slow legal process. A local resident, identified as YY (30), mentioned five teenagers whose names are being circulated in the neighborhood: SN, EA, TR, LA, and RV. “I heard they’ve already been summoned by the police, but I still see them walking around near the stores,” she said.
The situation took a heartbreaking turn when DV reportedly ran away from home after the video went viral. Her grandfather, TRJ, said the family has been unable to contact her for several days.
“I just want to know she’s safe. She hasn’t come home and we have no idea where she is,” he said with a trembling voice, holding back tears.
The victim’s family is urging law enforcement to take firm action against those responsible for spreading the video. They believe this act not only humiliated DV but also left lasting psychological trauma on the family.
As of this writing, the public is still waiting for a firm move from the authorities. Many are hoping the investigation will proceed fairly and without bias—regardless of whether one of the suspects is a village official’s child. The community is calling for justice to be upheld and for such violations to never happen again.
