Pontianak, June 26, 2025 – A joint effort between multiple police units has led to the successful arrest of two men suspected of aggravated burglary in the Tanjung Raya area of Pontianak. The suspects, identified by their initials IH (38) and FS (39), were captured following an intensive investigation involving several regional crime units.
The case began when a victim, TN (29), reported a break-in at their rented room on Parit H. Husin I Street, Palaguna Alley, Benua Melayu Darat subdistrict. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning, June 24, 2025, around 4:00 AM, resulting in the loss of valuable items.

Using crime scene analysis, CCTV footage, and community tips, the joint task force tracked the suspects to the parking area near Jami Mosque on Tanjung Raya 1 Street. Officers conducted surveillance and swiftly apprehended both suspects without resistance as they exited the Beting area.
Suspects Confessed, Legal Process Underway
Upon questioning, both IH and FS admitted their involvement in the theft. They were immediately taken to South Pontianak Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.
South Pontianak Police Chief AKP Jatmiko, S.H., M.H., praised the cross-jurisdictional teamwork and highlighted the importance of public participation in crime prevention.
“This success was made possible through strong collaboration among units and active community support. We want to emphasize that criminal activities have no place in South Pontianak,” said the Police Chief.
