He also reiterated Indonesia's firm support for Palestinian independence, stating that a two-state solution remains the only viable path toward ending the decades-long conflict.
“Only a two-state solution can end the dispute. Indonesia and Malaysia agree on the need for global collective efforts to achieve peaceful conflict resolution,” he added.

Echoing Prabowo’s sentiments, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stressed the strategic importance of ASEAN unity and strong bilateral ties to withstand global challenges.
“In facing challenges like trade issues and international tensions, our strength lies in domestic resilience, bilateral cooperation, and ASEAN solidarity,” Anwar said.
He acknowledged Indonesia’s leadership in addressing regional issues, including its diplomatic efforts in resolving the crisis in Myanmar.
Temporary Relief with Iran–Israel Ceasefire, But Long-Term Peace Still Distant
Anwar also commented on the Iran–Israel ceasefire, saying it brings temporary relief, but more needs to be done to ensure long-lasting peace.
“We are slightly relieved for now because of the ceasefire. But we must stay vigilant and committed to a peaceful resolution,” he stated.
Both leaders agreed that diplomatic efforts and global solidarity are crucial in mitigating future escalations, urging all parties involved to continue dialogue instead of resorting to violence.
