| Honor X70 Just Dropped—and This Phone Is Literally Bulletproof (Almost) |
So, Honor just launched the Honor X70 in China, and it’s not your average phone. This thing is a straight-up tank. We're talking military-level toughness here. During its launch event, they put it through some wild stress tests—dropped it from 2.5 meters onto stone, shot it with a small-caliber rifle, and even ran it over with a freaking 193-ton mining truck. Shockingly, it survived most of that.
Bright Display, Minimal Bezels, Super Smooth
The Honor X70 rocks a big 6.79-inch flat display with a crisp 1.5K resolution, an insane peak brightness of 6,000 nits (yes, seriously), and a crazy-high 3840Hz PWM for super smooth, flicker-free visuals. The bezels are ultra-thin at just 1.3mm, giving it a premium look without sacrificing screen space.
Solid Performance with Bonus Features
Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, it handles everyday stuff and light gaming like a pro. It also comes with NFC (yup, contactless payments are good to go) and an infrared remote, so you can literally use your phone to control your TV or AC like it’s 2005 again—but cooler.
Camera’s Decent, but Don’t Expect Crazy Zoom
You’re getting a 50MP main rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so your shots come out sharp even if your hands are a little shaky. No fancy periscope zoom here though. On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie cam—simple and gets the job done.
The Battery Is Absolutely Ridiculous
Now, let’s talk about the real star of the show—the battery. This monster packs 8,300mAh, which is the biggest we’ve seen on a mainstream phone. And with 80W fast charging (wired and wireless), you don’t have to babysit it all night. Wireless charging is only available on the top-end variant (12GB RAM + 512GB storage), though.
Built Like a Tank: No Cap
This phone was literally run over by a mining truck and still powered on. Yeah, the bullet shots messed it up, but here’s the thing—the bullets didn’t go through the body. That’s insane. It might actually save your life (we’re not suggesting you test that though).
Water, Dust? Bring It On
Honor X70 is certified IP69K, which is the highest protection rating you can get for water and dust. In the demo, they blasted it with fire-hose level pressure, dunked it in saltwater at 6.6 meters deep, and dragged it behind a speedboat. And guess what? It still worked.

The Honor X70 Is Built for Chaos
If you’re the kind of person who drops their phone every other day, hikes in the rain, works on-site, or just wants a device that can take a hit (or ten), Honor X70 is the one. It’s big, it’s bold, and it’s ridiculously tough.
