Warner Bros. just dropped the first official trailer for Mortal Kombat 2, and it’s everything fans have been waiting for—and more. This reveal comes right after the studio teased us with a fake movie trailer for Uncaged Fury, starring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage. Now, he’s officially stepping into the ring for real.
Mortal Kombat 2 picks up with Earthrealm’s champions gearing up for an all-out, no-holds-barred tournament. This time, it’s not just random fights—it’s the real Mortal Kombat showdown. And yep, Johnny Cage is finally in the game, bringing his over-the-top energy to the team.
But the tournament isn’t the only thing going down. The powerful sorcerer Shang Tsung is back, and he’s not playing around. He’s got plans to take over Earthrealm, and the heroes have to stop him before it’s too late. Expect major battles, brutal fatalities, and some serious dark magic.
The movie’s stacked with fan-favorite characters like Shao Kahn, Raiden, Kitana, Sindel, and Noob Saibot. So if you grew up button-mashing your way through the game, this one’s gonna hit hard.
Directed once again by Simon McQuoid—the same guy who brought the 2021 reboot to life—Mortal Kombat 2 brings back some familiar faces. Alongside Karl Urban, the cast includes Hiroyuki Sanada, Tati Gabrielle, Mehcad Brooks, Damon Herriman, Joe Taslim, and Jessica McNamee.
