Teen Gang Attack in Majalengka Leaves Man Hospitalized Police Nab Suspects Within Hours. |
Majalengka, Indonesia – Things got out of hand on Saturday night (July 12, 2025) when a group of teenagers allegedly attacked a man with sharp weapons in Majalengka. The brutal assault left the victim seriously injured and in need of emergency medical care.
According to West Java Police spokesperson Kombes Pol Hendra Rochmawan, the attack happened out of the blue. The suspects reportedly ambushed the victim without warning and used bladed weapons during the assault.
“Luckily, our officers from Majalengka Police were on patrol nearby. They got a tip from locals and rushed to the scene. Within less than 24 hours, several of the attackers were caught along with the sharp weapons they used,” Hendra said on Sunday (July 13).
Three teenagers—initials R, AM, and Ms—were arrested and are currently being questioned by police. Cops also seized a car believed to be involved in the incident.
These young suspects are now facing serious charges under Indonesian law—specifically Article 351 in conjunction with Article 170 of the Criminal Code, which deals with group violence causing serious injury. If found guilty, they could be looking at up to 9 years in prison.
Meanwhile, the victim is still in the hospital under tight medical supervision. Police are urging the public not to take the law into their own hands.
“Let the legal system do its job. Vigilante justice only makes things worse,” Hendra added.
Why This Story Matters
This isn’t just another headline—it’s a reminder that teen violence is becoming way too common. What should’ve been a chill night turned into a life-threatening situation, and it involved teens who still have their whole futures ahead of them.
This case highlights the growing concern over youth aggression and how easily things can spiral when tempers flare and weapons are involved. It’s a wake-up call for parents, schools, and communities to step up and guide young people in the right direction.
