| West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan inaugurates 429 new civil servants at the Garuda Hall of the Governor’s Office. |
A total of 429 state employees were officially inaugurated by the Governor of West Kalimantan, Drs. H. Ria Norsan, M.M., M.H., during the appointment, oath-taking, and inauguration ceremony held at the Garuda Hall of the West Kalimantan Governor’s Office on Wednesday morning (Sept 24, 2025) at 08.00 WIB. The event covered three main groups: 199 Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) Phase II of the 2024 formation, 230 functional officials, and new civil servants (PNS) who had not yet undergone the oath-taking ceremony.
In his remarks, Governor Ria Norsan emphasized that the simultaneous inauguration was a strategic step to strengthen human resources within the West Kalimantan Provincial Government. “We combined everything today so that the administrative process and placements can proceed smoothly,” he said.
The Governor also delivered a firm message to all newly inaugurated personnel, highlighting three key principles they must uphold: integrity, discipline, and prioritizing the interests of the people. “Maintain our integrity as state officials, be honest in every activity. Discipline must also be instilled in yourselves, and most importantly, always put the interests of the people above all else,” Ria Norsan stressed.
He further expressed confidence that the enthusiasm brought by the new officials would create a positive atmosphere in the workplace and improve public service delivery. “I believe with the new spirit you bring, it will have a positive impact on your work environment. May your hard work be blessed by Allah subhanahu wata’ala,” he concluded.
This step is also seen as a signal that the West Kalimantan Provincial Government is committed to building a professional, responsive, and people-oriented bureaucracy. With the addition of 429 new personnel, the people of West Kalimantan are expected to directly benefit from improved public services across various sectors. Moving forward, the provincial government aims for a more solid and efficient bureaucracy to ensure faster and more accurate performance.
