| West Kalimantan Prosecutors Step Up Corruption Probe, Regional Company Office Searched. |
The West Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office has once again shown its firm stance against corruption. On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at around 10:18 a.m. local time, investigators carried out a search at the office of the Regional-Owned Enterprise (Perusda) Aneka Usaha of West Kalimantan Province.
This decisive move is part of an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption related to the construction of the City Distribution Center project and the Perusda office building, both carried out under the 2018 state budget. These projects have come under scrutiny due to suspected irregularities in their implementation.
Prior to the search, investigators had already conducted a series of investigative steps. Several witnesses were questioned, including project contractors, supervisors, and other parties believed to have direct knowledge of the physical construction process. These examinations were aimed at collecting strong and valid evidence in accordance with criminal procedure law.
During the search, the investigation team combed through multiple rooms inside the Perusda Aneka Usaha office. Their focus was on securing documents, digital data, and other items believed to be connected to the alleged corruption case.
West Kalimantan High Prosecutor Dr. Emilwan Ridwan confirmed the operation and emphasized that the search reflects the office’s commitment to handling corruption cases in a professional, transparent, and accountable manner.
He stated that the investigation is still ongoing, with prosecutors concentrating on strengthening the evidence. The main objective is to clearly uncover the facts of the case and determine who must be held legally responsible under the law.
The West Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office stressed that this case will not be handled halfway. Every stage of the investigation is being carried out carefully and based on solid evidence, not assumptions. Documents obtained during the search, along with testimonies from key witnesses, will continue to be analyzed to fully reveal the chain of events.
Prosecutors also reaffirmed that the law will be enforced without favoritism. Anyone proven to be involved will face legal consequences in accordance with existing regulations.
Beyond legal procedures, the case is seen as a concrete effort to improve regional governance and restore public trust. Combating corruption, especially cases involving public funds, remains a top priority for the sake of broader public interest.
Through this action, the West Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office encourages public participation in oversight and reporting. Public trust and support are considered vital energy in building clean, fair, and people-oriented law enforcement across West Kalimantan.
