An unexpected disruption hit Telkomsel’s data services on Thursday, also affecting IndiHome customers. Many users reported slower internet speeds and difficulties accessing digital applications and over-the-top entertainment platforms starting around midday.

Responding to the issue, Telkomsel confirmed that it immediately deployed its technical teams to handle the disruption, which was detected at 11:03 a.m. WIB on Thursday.

Telkomsel’s Vice President of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility, Abdullah Fahmi, explained that from the very beginning of the incident, all technical personnel were fully mobilized. Their main focus has been isolating the source of the problem, optimizing the network, and accelerating recovery efforts so services can return to normal as quickly as possible.

Fahmi emphasized that Telkomsel understands how vital digital connectivity is for customers today. Internet access plays a key role in communication, work, education, entertainment, and daily productivity. For this reason, Telkomsel extended its sincere apology to customers for the inconvenience caused by the service disruption.

He added that the recovery process is being handled with the highest priority. In addition to technical repairs, Telkomsel continues to monitor network conditions end-to-end to ensure service stability once the network is fully restored.
