Eid 2026 Passenger Traffic At Trisakti Port Rises By 20 Percent

Passenger traffic during the 2026 Eid holiday at Trisakti Port recorded a notable increase. Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Class I Banjarmasin reported a significant rise compared to the previous year.

Head of KSOP, Heri Purwanto, stated that total passenger movement during the 2026 Eid Sea Transportation Post reached 23,897 people, marking a 20 percent increase from approximately 19,914 passengers recorded in 2025.

“There was an increase of about 3,983 passengers compared to last year,” Heri said during the closing of the integrated post in Banjarmasin on Tuesday.

Passenger Traffic Breakdown

Of the total, arriving passengers reached 8,784 people, up 24 percent from last year. Meanwhile, departing passengers totaled 15,113 people, an increase of 18 percent.

The peak outbound (homecoming) flow occurred on March 17, 2026, with 2,868 passengers departing. The peak return flow was recorded on March 29, 2026, with 1,332 passengers arriving.

Vehicle Movement Also Increased

In addition to passengers, vehicle traffic also rose during the monitoring period from March 13 to March 30, 2026.

  • Arriving vehicles: 2,278 units (up 30 percent)

  • Departing vehicles: 3,129 units (up 9 percent)

  • Total vehicles: 5,407 units (up 17 percent)

A total of 22 passenger ship calls were recorded during the period.

Banjarmasin – The national shipping company PT Dharma Lautan Utama (DLU), Banjarmasin branch, successfully completed its mission of transporting thousands of mudik travelers to Surabaya, East Java, via Trisakti Port in Banjarmasin.

“Alhamdulillah, we were able to serve travelers safely and smoothly this year, up to the last day of departures before the Eid holiday,” said Anton Wahyudi, Head of PT DLU Banjarmasin, on Friday (March 20, 2026).

During the 2026 Eid mudik season, DLU operated two main vessels, KM Dharma Rucitra 1 and KM Dharma Kartika 2. On the peak of the mudik flow at Trisakti Port on Monday (March 16), DLU added an additional vessel, KM Dharma Kartika 5, with a capacity of 1,000 passengers.

Anton also expressed his gratitude to all parties who helped ensure smooth sailing, especially the joint officers on standby at the Eid Transportation Integrated Post at Trisakti Port. “We also thank all passengers for trusting DLU as their choice for traveling to Java,” he added.

For the return trip, DLU scheduled the first sailing from Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya using KM Dharma Rucitra 1 on Tuesday (March 24) at 5:00 PM WIB, with an estimated arrival in Banjarmasin on Wednesday (March 25) at 1:17 PM WITA.

Data from Pelindo Regional 3, Kalimantan Sub-Region, shows a 15.45% increase in travelers compared to the same period last year. Specifically, Trisakti Port recorded the highest growth at 30.87% among other ports in Kalimantan. Meanwhile, the Banjarmasin Class I Port Authority (KSOP) recorded 10,950 travelers departing to Java until H-1 of Eid.

With a well-prepared fleet and good coordination, PT DLU Banjarmasin successfully ensured travelers reached their destinations safely, comfortably, and on time, proving the company’s commitment to national sea transportation services.
