Right now, ChatGPT has around 600 million active users every month! OpenAI is eager to use this popularity to expand its presence across many consumer services — from online marketplaces and social networks to personal devices. Big tech companies like Apple, Google, and Microsoft already offer similar login options.
For example, earlier in May, OpenAI tested this idea with Codex CLI — a tool that helps developers write code. Developers could link their ChatGPT accounts to Codex and receive bonus API credits: $5 for Plus users and up to $50 for Pro subscribers. That’s a nice perk for programmers!
