Weekend Land Services Now Available: How Indonesia’s PELATARAN Program Helps Busy Citizens Manage Land Certificates on Saturdays and Sundays. |
Jakarta – For many Indonesian citizens, managing land ownership documents can be challenging during busy weekdays. Recognizing this, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has introduced an innovative weekend land service called PELATARAN (Pelayanan Tanah Akhir Pekan) or Weekend Land Service, which allows people to access essential land-related services every Saturday and Sunday at selected Land Offices across the country.
What Is the PELATARAN Program?
Launched in 2022, PELATARAN was designed to help working individuals who can't visit Land Offices (Kantah) during regular business hours (Monday to Friday). With this weekend service, people now have greater flexibility to process land-related documents directly and conveniently.
Operating Hours:
08:00 AM – 12:00 PM (local time)
Important Note:
This service is available only to landowners who come in person—applications submitted by proxy are not accepted.
What Services Are Available During PELATARAN?
Through this program, citizens can access a variety of key land services, including:
-
Submission of land service requests and collection of completed documents
-
Services not yet available online
-
Electronic checks that must be submitted in person
-
Public information requests and complaints
These services are provided on-site to ensure quick and efficient processing.
Available at Over 100 Land Offices Nationwide
As of 2025, PELATARAN is available at 107 Land Offices (Kantah) throughout Indonesia. Citizens can check the full list of participating offices through the official link below:

Minister’s Statement on Weekend Land Services
On March 19, 2025, Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Nusron Wahid, emphasized that weekend services have become standard practice, especially in major cities.“We are used to serving the public every Sa
turday and Sunday, especially in urban areas. Since many people can only process their land certificates on weekends, I encourage everyone to take advantage of PELATARAN. It’s easy and convenient,” he said.
Why PELATARAN Matters
The PELATARAN program does more than just offer extra office hours—it reflects a strong commitment to bureaucratic reform and improved access to public services. By removing scheduling barriers, the government ensures that more people can exercise their land rights without taking time off work.
Conclusion: Use Your Weekend to Manage Land Documents with Ease
Thanks to PELATARAN, handling land certificate applications and other land-related services is no longer limited to weekdays. This strategic public service reform helps busy Indonesians stay on top of land administration while maintaining their weekday commitments.
