Kubu Raya – Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Health Office, Dr. Erna Yulianti, accompanied by Dr. Antonius Decky (Head of Health Services) and Dr. Asep Ahmad Saefullah (Director of RSUD Tuan Besar Syarif Idrus/TBSI), visited the construction site of the new TBSI Regional Hospital building in Kubu Raya on Tuesday (August 5, 2025). The visit aimed to ensure the construction process stays on track with the Ministry of Health’s quick win program timeline.

“From the groundbreaking ceremony, the Minister of Health made it clear that this is not a long-term project, but a quick win that must be completed within two years,” said Dr. Erna to reporters.
The new RSUD TBSI building will consist of three floors. The first floor will house the Emergency Room (ER), radiology, cathlab, Intensive Cardiovascular Care Unit (ICVCU), and outpatient clinics. The second floor will include standard and VIP inpatient rooms, a hemodialysis center, pharmacy, pathology lab, and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). The third floor will accommodate the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), High Care Unit (HCU), Neonatal ICU (NICU), and Central Operating Room (IBS).

Dr. Erna emphasized that the provincial health office will continue monitoring the construction progress to ensure timely completion. “The sooner this facility is ready, the sooner it can benefit the people of Kubu Raya,” she added.

The construction of the new RSUD TBSI building is seen as a vital step toward improving healthcare access and quality in Kubu Raya. The provincial government hopes the facility will reduce referrals to out-of-town hospitals and provide better health services for the growing local population. Regular evaluations will be carried out to ensure the project stays on schedule and meets operational standards.
