The illegal drug trade involving Pendi, also known as Lojeng Bin Kabli, has finally come to an end. The 31-year-old man from Setapuk, Singkawang City, was arrested by police in Bengkayang after allegedly distributing methamphetamine.
Pendi, who lives on Ratu Sepudak Street in Setapuk Besar Subdistrict, North Singkawang, was taken into custody on Jalan Gereja Protestan, Bumi Emas Village, Bengkayang District. That location marked the end of his activities as a meth dealer.
Bengkayang Police Chief AKBP Syahirul Awab, through Head of the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Jumadi, said the arrest was made following information provided by local residents. Acting on the tip, officers immediately conducted an operation.

“The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at around 6:30 p.m. near Jalan Gereja Protestan, Bumi Emas Village,” AKP Jumadi told reporters on Friday, January 23, 2026.
At the time of the arrest, Pendi was riding a red Honda Scoopy motorcycle with license plate number KB 6648 YP. Officers then carried out a search and found several suspicious items in his possession.
Police seized seven clear plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine, wrapped in black plastic. The suspect was then taken to Bengkayang Police Headquarters for further questioning.
According to AKP Jumadi, the total gross weight of the seized methamphetamine was approximately 600.70 grams. Investigators also secured additional evidence believed to be linked to the drug distribution activity.
The confiscated items included six clear plastic sachets, one additional clear plastic sachet, two black plastic bags, four pieces of yellow tape, one piece of black plastic rope, a gray Realme mobile phone, and the red Honda Scoopy motorcycle along with its ignition key.
Pendi has been charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics or Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code. He faces a potential prison sentence of more than five years.
Following the arrest, Bengkayang Police expressed their appreciation to the public for providing crucial information. AKP Jumadi emphasized that the case highlights the importance of cooperation between law enforcement and the community.
“We would like to thank the community for their support. This is clear proof that collaboration between the police and the public is essential in combating drug trafficking,” he said.
The police also encouraged continued public participation, especially from community leaders, religious figures, and youth leaders, to help keep Bengkayang free from narcotics.
“We hope the community’s role will continue so that law enforcement efforts against drug abuse and trafficking can be carried out effectively,” AKP Jumadi concluded.
