BorneoTribun Jakarta - Anticipating the issue of Indonesian vaccine certificates that are not recognized or recognized in a number of countries abroad, the Government through the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has issued international vaccine certificates according to World Health Organization or WHO standards.

Head of the Ministry of Health's Digital Transformation Service, Setiaji said, the forms and information listed on international vaccine certificates have been adapted to WHO standards, including the QR code listed in it so that they can be read and recognized abroad.

International vaccine certificates can be used by Overseas Tourists (PPLN) and Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) as proof that they have received complete primary vaccinations.

He explained that the international certificate could be used for Umrah or Hajj trips.

However, this certificate is only a health document and travelers are still required to comply with the applicable health regulations and protocols in each country.

Regarding the type of vaccine received or applied, it also refers to the policies of each country of destination.

Furthermore, Setiaji said that international vaccine certificates issued by the Ministry of Health can be accessed through the PeduliLindung application. The ways to access it are:
  1. Update or update the Cares Protect application to the latest version
  2. Open the PeduliLindung application and log in with a registered account
