Denpasar, Indonesia – In an effort to strengthen public land services in Indonesia, the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Deputy Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Ossy Dermawan, visited the Denpasar Land Office (Kantah Kota Denpasar) on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The visit served as a moment to reinforce the importance of a strong service culture among public servants, particularly those handling land administration.

Speaking before the Regional Heads of Land Offices across Bali Province, Deputy Minister Ossy highlighted that public service excellence must be the central mission of all local BPN offices.

“The Minister always reminds us that public service is the core of our responsibilities. Bali is globally known for its strong culture of hospitality. This spirit can be translated into our work culture. Simple gestures like serving the public with a smile go a long way,” said Ossy Dermawan.

Upholding Integrity in Land Services

Beyond service quality, Deputy Minister Ossy stressed the importance of upholding integrity within the land office system. He reminded all BPN employees across Bali to stay firm against any form of illegal levies or gratuities, which could damage public trust and the institution’s reputation.

“Avoid any behavior that could bring a negative image to the agency. We must build a positive and collaborative work culture. No internal competition—we are one team under the ATR/BPN flag. Take care of one another, regardless of position or division,” he emphasized.

Facility Checks and PELATARAN Weekend Land Service Program

During the visit, the Deputy Minister also inspected several key areas of the Denpasar Land Office, including:

  • Customer service counters opened as part of PELATARAN (Weekend Land Services);

  • The document archives room;

  • And the land book storage room.

He ensured that all facilities and infrastructure were in good condition and ready to provide optimal service to the public, especially during extended service hours on weekends.

Strong Support from BPN Bali Regional Office

The visit was welcomed by the Head of the BPN Regional Office of Bali Province, I Made Daging, along with all local Land Office Heads across Bali. They expressed full support for the Deputy Minister’s message and committed to enhancing the work environment and public satisfaction.

A New Era for Public Land Services in Bali

With a renewed focus on service, integrity, and teamwork, this official visit aims to boost the overall quality and accessibility of land services in Bali. Programs like PELATARAN, which operate on weekends, are clear examples of the government’s commitment to being closer and more accessible to the community.

Professional, clean, and friendly land services are key to earning public trust and improving institutional credibility.
