JAKARTA – It was a proud and emotional day at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated around 2,000 young officer candidates (known as Capaja) in a ceremonial event called Prasetya Perwira (Praspa). Among them, eight stood out for achieving the Adhi Makayasa—an award that symbolizes excellence in military and police academies.
What Is the Adhi Makayasa?
For those unfamiliar, Adhi Makayasa is the highest honor awarded annually to the most outstanding graduates from Indonesia’s four military and police academies:
-
Military Academy (Akmil)
-
Naval Academy (AAL)
-
Air Force Academy (AAU)
-
Police Academy (Akpol)
The recipients are chosen based on cumulative scores across academics, physical training, leadership, and character. It’s a true all-around achievement that reflects dedication, discipline, and integrity.

Their success is a proud moment not just for their families, but also for the entire national police force.

President Prabowo's Message to the Nation's Future Leaders
During the event, President Prabowo Subianto delivered a heartfelt speech urging the new officers to serve the country with honor, discipline, and love for the people.
"Indonesia needs your strength, loyalty, and wisdom. Wear your uniform with pride, and always stand for justice and truth," he said.
His message was not only motivational but also a clear call to uphold integrity in a changing and challenging world.
Why the Adhi Makayasa Award Matters
The Adhi Makayasa award is more than just a title—it’s a lifetime achievement earned through sleepless nights, physical pain, personal sacrifices, and unwavering focus. Only those who excel in every aspect of training and education make it to the top.
Over the years, many former awardees have gone on to become generals, admirals, top police officials, and national heroes. Receiving this award is often a sign of a very bright future in public service.
A Message for the Public and Young Generation
In an era where negative headlines often dominate the news, stories like this remind us that Indonesia is full of promising young people who are ready to dedicate their lives for the betterment of the country.
The achievements of these eight cadets should inspire the youth to dream big, work hard, and never give up on serving the nation.
Congratulations to all newly appointed TNI and Police officers. And a special salute to the eight Adhi Makayasa recipients—your success is not just yours, but a beacon of hope for the entire country.
As you step into your roles, may you always carry your responsibilities with integrity and pride. The nation believes in you.
