Wakil Governor West Kalimantan Slams Intolerance in Kubu Raya and Pushes for Peace and Progress. |
During Kubu Raya's 18th anniversary celebration at the Regent's Office on July 17 2025 West Kalimantan Vice Governor Krisantus Kurniawan dropped some bold and clear words that hit home He wasn’t holding back as he strongly called out all forms of intolerance that threaten peace and unity in the community
Krisantus reacted to reports about a local RT forum in Kapur Village that rejected the construction of a place of worship He didn’t hesitate to demand the Kubu Raya administration step in and fix the situation right away For him there’s no excuse for anyone or any group trying to block religious buildings from being built no matter the religion
He made it super clear that tolerance is the core of a peaceful and progressive West Kalimantan His firm stance shows that the provincial government is serious about creating a safe inclusive place where everyone can live in harmony
He also pointed out that feeling safe is non negotiable when it comes to development and investment Nothing can move forward if people don’t feel secure That’s why he firmly stated there’s zero tolerance for any group or organization that might stir up conflict or mess with public peace
Kubu Raya Regent Sujiwo totally backed him up As soon as he got the report about the RT forum rejecting the worship place he jumped into action He told the regional secretary to summon the subdistrict head village chief and the RT forum for a full clarification He didn’t mince words when he said there’s absolutely no space for anti tolerance attitudes in Kubu Raya
This kind of fast and firm response proves that the local government is fully committed to protecting unity and diversity Tolerance isn’t just about respecting differences it’s the solid base for long term growth and harmony In the spirit of Kubu Raya’s birthday celebration this message about living in peace really hits the heart and reminds everyone that true progress comes from staying united
If every local leader stood up this strong and clear West Kalimantan could totally become a national example of how to build a peaceful inclusive and successful region for everyone
