On the second day of the 2026 Lebaran return, flights from Muara Teweh, North Barito, Central Kalimantan, to Palangka Raya and Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, are starting to get busy.

“Today, flights from Muara Teweh to Banjarmasin and back, as well as Muara Teweh to Palangka Raya round-trip, are seeing more passengers compared to yesterday,” said Muhammad Amrillah, Head of Haji Muhammad Sidik Airport Muara Teweh, on Monday (March 24, 2026).

According to Amrillah, flights to Palangka Raya are operated by Susi Air using a 12-passenger Cessna pioneer aircraft, while flights to Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarbaru, are operated by Wings Air using an ATR-72-600 aircraft that can carry up to 72 passengers.

Today, 55 passengers departed and 59 passengers arrived at Haji Muhammad Sidik Airport. “Fortunately, passenger numbers are picking up, and we expect them to increase during the peak return traffic on Wednesday (March 25),” Amrillah added.

Subsidized flights using Cessna operate once a week, every Monday, with ticket prices IDR 540,020 for Palangka Raya – Muara Teweh and IDR 493,420 for the reverse route. Wings Air operates daily flights between Muara Teweh and Banjarmasin.

“Most passengers to and from Banjarmasin are travelers from Jakarta and Surabaya who transit at Syamsudin Noor Airport, and similarly, travelers from Muara Teweh to Java transit via Banjarmasin,” explained Amrillah.

With the increase in passengers, travelers are advised to book tickets in advance and check flight schedules to ensure a smooth and comfortable Lebaran return trip.
