The mystery surrounding the discovery of a man’s body at the Jakasampurna Public Cemetery in Bekasi City has finally begun to unravel. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police have arrested two individuals suspected of being behind the deadly incident.
The two suspects, identified by the initials JP and G, have been taken into custody and are currently undergoing intensive questioning. Police are working to piece together the full timeline of events and uncover the motive behind the killing.
Head of the Jatanras Sub-Directorate at the Metro Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Abdul Rahim, confirmed the arrests. He stated that the victim died as a result of violence allegedly committed by the two suspects.
“Yes, both suspects have been secured. We have arrested two individuals and they are now being questioned,” Abdul Rahim said when contacted on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
In a surprising development, police revealed that the suspects were not strangers to the victim. According to investigators, the victim and both suspects had known each other for a long time.
“They were longtime friends,” Abdul Rahim explained.
At this stage, authorities are still digging deeper to determine what drove the suspects to commit the crime. Police believe more details will emerge as the investigation continues.
