Central Sulawesi Police Destroys 40 Kilograms of Methamphetamine as Part of Major Drug Crackdown Effort in Palu.

Palu, June 30, 2025 – In a significant move to combat illegal drug trafficking in Indonesia, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulteng) destroyed approximately 40 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (meth) at their headquarters on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Palu.

The operation was led by Central Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Dr. Agus Nugroho, with support from various government and law enforcement agencies.

Methamphetamine Seized from Three Locations in Palu and Donggala

The 40 kilograms of methamphetamine were confiscated from three main locations:

  • Besusu, Palu City

  • Watusampu

  • Kabonga, Donggala District

According to the police chief, the operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects, identified by their initials as M, AM, RO, and FA. All four individuals were allegedly in direct contact with a Malaysian drug dealer based in Tawau, known by the initials AS.

Their method involved picking up meth shipments at local seaports or coastal areas, then storing and distributing the drugs across Central Sulawesi.

Over Two Hundred Thousand Lives Potentially Saved

Inspector General Agus Nugroho highlighted the gravity of the seizure, stating that the confiscated 40 kg of meth could have endangered an estimated 202,061 lives if circulated on the streets.

“This successful seizure would not have been possible without strong collaboration between our narcotics division and the support of the local community,” said the police chief.

Drug Seizure Statistics in Central Sulawesi

A year-to-year comparison reveals a slight decrease in drug seizures:

  • First Half of 2024: 55.6 kg of meth confiscated, 450 suspects arrested

  • First Half of 2025: 48.6 kg of meth confiscated, 447 suspects arrested

Although the volume is lower this year, the high numbers reflect that drug trafficking remains a critical concern in the region.

Harsh Legal Consequences for Drug Offenders

The arrested individuals will be charged under Article 112 Paragraph (1) and Article 114 Paragraph (1) of Indonesia’s Narcotics Law No. 35 of 2009, which carries severe penalties:

  • Minimum prison sentence of 4 years, up to 20 years

  • Fines ranging from IDR 1 billion to IDR 10 billion (approximately 63,000 to 630,000 USD)

Community Involvement Key to Success

Inspector General Nugroho emphasized the importance of public involvement, stating, “Drug abuse is our common enemy. We must work together to protect our youth and secure the future of our nation from the dangers of narcotics.”

The destruction of the methamphetamine evidence was attended by high-ranking government officials, including:

  • Governor of Central Sulawesi Dr. Anwar Hafid

  • Chief Prosecutor of Central Sulawesi

  • Head of the Central Sulawesi National Narcotics Agency (BNN)

  • Chief Judge of Central Sulawesi High Court

  • Head of Palu Food and Drug Monitoring Agency

  • Head of Customs and Excise of Pantoloan Palu

  • Community leaders and senior police officials

The destruction of 40 kilograms of meth by the Central Sulawesi Police underscores Indonesia’s continued efforts in fighting drug crimes. With strong enforcement and active community participation, the region moves one step closer toward becoming drug-free and safer for future generations.

Government Exposes Massive Rice Fraud in Indonesia: Potential State Losses Could Reach IDR 101 Trillion Per Year Due to Subsidized and Commercial Rice Manipulation

Government Exposes Massive Rice Fraud in Indonesia: Potential State Losses Could Reach IDR 101 Trillion Per Year Due to Subsidized and Commercial Rice Manipulation.

The Indonesian government has officially revealed a major scandal involving alleged fraud in the distribution of both commercial and subsidized rice. According to Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, the country could suffer state losses of up to IDR 101.35 trillion annually if these manipulative practices are not stopped.

This revelation follows a coordinated investigation by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Food Task Force, the Attorney General’s Office, and the National Food Agency. The manipulation reportedly involves both premium and medium-quality commercial rice, as well as subsidized SPHP (Stabilization of Supply and Food Prices) rice that has been secretly repackaged and sold as premium rice.

Commercial Rice Fraud Causes Estimated IDR 99.35 Trillion Loss per Year

Data gathered by the Ministry of Agriculture shows that irregularities in commercial rice sales could lead to IDR 99.35 trillion in state losses per year. This fraud includes violations of rice quality standards, mislabeling of packaging weight, and prices exceeding the government’s retail price ceiling.

"If this continues over the next ten years, losses could reach almost IDR 1,000 trillion. We must act decisively," stated Minister Amran.

Most Rice Brands on the Market Do Not Meet Standards

The investigation collected 268 rice samples from ten provinces across Indonesia, including major markets in Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and South Sulawesi. Findings from lab tests are deeply concerning:

  • Premium rice:

    • 85.56 percent did not meet quality regulations

    • 59.78 percent were sold above the government’s maximum retail price

    • 21.66 percent had inaccurate packaging weight

  • Medium rice:

    • 88.24 percent failed to meet quality standards

    • 95.12 percent exceeded the price cap

    • 9.38 percent had incorrect packaging weight

Subsidized Rice Fraud Adds Another IDR 2 Trillion in Annual Losses

The fraud involving SPHP subsidized rice is just as alarming. Investigators found that up to 80 percent of subsidized rice was repackaged and resold as premium rice to gain higher profits, while only 20 percent was sold according to government regulations.

The government provides a rice subsidy of approximately IDR 1,500 to IDR 2,000 per kilogram, intended to help lower-income consumers. However, much of this rice is redirected into illegal distribution channels.

This manipulation is believed to affect 1 million tons of rice annually, resulting in an additional IDR 2 trillion in losses per year.

212 Rice Producers Under Investigation by Police Task Force

In response, the National Food Task Force and Indonesian Police have started summoning 212 rice brand producers whose products were found to violate current food regulations. The Ministry of Agriculture has formally submitted written reports to the Chief of Police and the Attorney General, urging firm legal action.

Laboratory verification across 13 labs in 10 provinces was used to ensure accurate testing and traceability of rice samples.

Why This Rice Fraud Case Affects All Indonesians

This is not just about financial losses to the state. The biggest victims are ordinary consumers, especially those from low-income groups who rely on government-subsidized rice. Fraud like this raises food prices and undermines food security.

By uncovering this scandal, the government is sending a strong message that food fraud will no longer be tolerated.

Strengthening Indonesia’s Food Governance is Urgent

The exposure of this large-scale rice fraud highlights serious weaknesses in food regulation and enforcement. With over IDR 101 trillion in potential annual losses, immediate action is crucial to restore public trust and ensure affordable, high-quality rice reaches Indonesian families.

This case serves as a wake-up call for stricter monitoring, improved supply chain transparency, and harsher penalties for food-related corruption in Indonesia.

Sekadau, West Kalimantan – In a spirited celebration of the 79th Bhayangkara Day, the Sekadau Police (Polres Sekadau) organized a large-scale public exercise and healthy walk event under the theme "The Police for the People". The event took place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, starting at 6:00 AM at the front yard of Polres Sekadau Headquarters on Jalan Merdeka Timur.

This community event attracted thousands of enthusiastic participants from various backgrounds, including personnel from the military and police (TNI-Polri), local government officials, religious leaders, community figures, and everyday residents. Key figures in attendance included Sekadau Police Chief AKBP Donny Molino Manoppo, Sekadau Regent Aron, Deputy Police Chief Kompol Asep Mustofa Kamil, Military Commander of Sanggau 1204 Letkol Inf Subandi, and District Attorney Adyantana Meru Herlambang.

Also present were representatives of the local parliament (DPRD), sub-district heads, heads of local government departments, bank leaders across Sekadau, members of the Bhayangkari women’s police association, journalists, and the general public.

A Stronger Bond Between Police and Community Through Health-Oriented Events

In his opening remarks, Chief AKBP Donny expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support and excitement from the public. He emphasized that the event was not just about health, but also about unity.

"We’ve prepared door prizes to make this event more festive, and to serve as a platform for strengthening relationships and reaffirming our shared commitment to maintaining peace in Sekadau," said AKBP Donny.

He also highlighted that the theme "The Police for the People" serves as proof of the police’s continued efforts to stand side-by-side with the community and foster meaningful, long-term partnerships.

Meanwhile, Regent Aron took the opportunity to commend the police for their consistent role in maintaining order and fostering closeness with the people.

"On behalf of myself and the Sekadau regional government, I extend heartfelt congratulations to the Sekadau Police on Bhayangkara Day. This event not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also strengthens bonds between the police, local government, and our community,” said Aron.

Healthy Walk Route and Exciting Door Prizes Draw Enthusiastic Participation

Following the group exercise session, participants embarked on a healthy walk along a designated route starting from Polres Sekadau Headquarters, passing through Jalan Merdeka Timur, Jalan Maulana Ibrahim, and Jalan Perintis, before returning to the headquarters.

The excitement grew even more with the drawing of numerous door prizes. Participants had a chance to win a variety of items including rice cookers, electric fans, gas stoves, water dispensers, LED TVs, mountain bikes, refrigerators, washing machines, electric bikes, and even motorcycles—all distributed freely as tokens of appreciation.

A Spirit of Togetherness Echoes Through the Bhayangkara Celebration

Throughout the morning, the event exuded a vibrant sense of unity and togetherness. Residents from all walks of life interacted positively with the police, creating a warm, collaborative atmosphere. It was clear that events like these are powerful tools for enhancing public trust and fostering long-lasting engagement between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Why Events Like This Matter for Community and Law Enforcement

Health-oriented events such as group exercises and community walks provide more than physical benefits. They create spaces where citizens and the police can engage outside of formal settings, build trust, and nurture mutual respect. This aligns perfectly with the mission behind Bhayangkara Day—to reflect and renew the commitment of the police to serve and protect in harmony with society.

Pontianak Shaken by Child Abuse Scandal: Civil Servant Arrested for Sexual Assault at State-Run Social Welfare Institution.

Pontianak, June 30, 2025 – A disturbing child sexual abuse case has emerged from a government-run social welfare facility in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. A male civil servant (PNS), who was working at the institution, has been arrested by the Pontianak Police Department for allegedly committing lewd acts against underage children under his care.

Civil Servant Accused of Sexual Abuse Against Underage Victims at Social Institution

The incident unfolded on the evening of Sunday, June 29, 2025, when officers from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Jatanras) of the Pontianak Police conducted an operation to apprehend the suspect. The man, a public servant affiliated with a government agency in Pontianak, allegedly used his position to sexually exploit minors residing at the facility.

Authorities revealed that the victims were left traumatized by the repeated abuse. Children, who should be receiving care and protection in state institutions, were instead subjected to exploitation by someone entrusted to protect them.

Police Faced Challenges Due to Intimidation and Viral Social Media Exposure

The investigation faced obstacles early on, primarily due to the suspect’s intimidation of the victims. The case further escalated after unauthorized individuals leaked the incident on social media, causing the content to go viral and inadvertently exposing the victims' identities.

Despite these setbacks, the Jatanras team, supported by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA), pursued the case with determination. Their coordinated efforts ultimately led to the arrest of the suspect and the continuation of a deeper investigation.

Investigation Expands to Identify More Potential Victims

Law enforcement is now focusing on uncovering the full scope of the perpetrator’s actions. Investigators are working to determine if there are additional victims who have not yet come forward, as well as to collect further supporting evidence to strengthen the case in court.

Public Responsibility and the Urgent Need for Child Protection

This tragic event highlights the urgent need for stronger protection measures in social welfare institutions. It also underlines the importance of community vigilance. When cases of abuse are suspected, immediate reporting to the authorities is critical to prevent further harm and ensure that justice is served.

Zero Tolerance for Sexual Crimes in Government Institutions

There is no place for sexual predators in our society—especially not among those entrusted to serve the public. Law enforcement must act decisively and without compromise to hold offenders accountable. Ensuring the safety of children in all environments, especially state-managed ones, must remain a top priority.

Online Extortion Case: Man Threatens to Leak Intimate Photos of Ex-Girlfriend and Collects Rp12 Million in Ransom

Online Extortion Case: Man Threatens to Leak Intimate Photos of Ex-Girlfriend and Collects Rp12 Million in Ransom
Online Extortion Case: Man Threatens to Leak Intimate Photos of Ex-Girlfriend and Collects Rp12 Million in Ransom.

A young woman has become the victim of an online extortion scheme orchestrated by her former boyfriend. A 24-year-old man, identified by his initials ARS, was arrested after blackmailing his ex-girlfriend, D (22), into sending him money under the threat of leaking her private photos and videos.

Started as an Online Romance, Ended in Blackmail and Threats

The story began in 2023 when ARS and the victim met through Facebook. Their relationship grew through online conversations, eventually leading to a virtual romantic relationship, although they never met in person.

During the course of their relationship, ARS persuaded the victim to send him explicit photos and videos. In December 2024, their relationship ended, but things took a dark turn. ARS claimed he lost his phone, which allegedly contained the private materials.

He then directed the victim to a fake Facebook account named "AA" that sent threatening messages, demanding Rp2 million (approx. $120) to prevent the photos from being leaked online.

Extortion Through Messaging Apps and Fake Promises

ARS continued the blackmail via his own WhatsApp account, pretending to help delete the photos from the lost phone. He also offered "tech services" for an extra fee, further exploiting the victim's fear.

From December 2024 to June 2025, the victim sent ARS a total of Rp12 million (approximately $720) out of fear her photos would be leaked.

Undercover Operation Leads to Arrest

Unable to bear the constant threats, the victim reported the case to the police. On Saturday, June 14, 2025, officers from the Inhu Police Criminal Investigation Unit set up a sting operation with the victim’s help.

A meeting was arranged at a gold shop in Pangkalan Kasai, Seberida District, Riau. When ARS showed up to collect another payment, police arrested him on the spot.

Authorities seized a mobile phone and Rp2.5 million in cash as evidence. Further investigation revealed that the fake "AA" Facebook account belonged to ARS himself, and the account used to receive payments was connected to an e-wallet linked to online gambling.

ARS Admits to Creating Fake Accounts and Extortion Scheme

According to Aiptu Sadarman, Deputy Head of the Criminal Unit at Inhu Police, ARS confessed to the entire scheme, including fabricating online identities and carrying out the extortion.

ARS is now in police custody and faces multiple charges:

  • Article 27B paragraphs (1) and (2), in conjunction with Article 45 paragraphs (8) and (10) of Law No. 1 of 2024 amending Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE)

  • Article 4 in conjunction with Article 29 of Law No. 44 of 2008 on Pornography

  • Article 368 of the Indonesian Criminal Code regarding extortion

He could face up to 9 years in prison if convicted.

Police Urge Caution in Online Interactions

The police have issued a strong warning to the public, especially young people, to be extra cautious when interacting online. Aiptu Misran, Head of Public Relations at Inhu Police, emphasized the importance of not sharing personal or sensitive content with people you have never met in person.

"Don't fall for sweet talk on the internet. Always protect your privacy, and never share intimate photos or information with strangers online," Misran said.

Police are continuing their investigation to identify possible additional victims or accomplices.

Indonesian Influencer Viska Dhea and Ex-BUMN Employee Sentenced to 17 Months in Prison for Pornography Case.

The controversial case involving Indonesian influencer Viska Dhea Ramadhani and her boyfriend, former state-owned enterprise (BUMN) employee Ichlas Budhi Pratama, has reached its conclusion at the Gresik District Court.

In a verdict delivered on June 25, the court found both Viska, a 26-year-old model from Sidoarjo, and Ichlas guilty of violating Indonesia’s pornography law. Chief Judge Bagus Tranggono led the session and laid out how their relationship began through a mutual friend. The couple first met at a restaurant in Surabaya, exchanged WhatsApp numbers, and eventually entered into a romantic relationship.

“They started chatting and continued their relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend,” said Judge Bagus during the hearing.

The court revealed that the two had recorded themselves engaging in sexual acts at various hotels in Surabaya and Gresik. These recordings, made with mutual consent, were stored on Ichlas’s phone. Things took a turn when Ichlas’s wife discovered the videos and forwarded them to Viska’s husband as well as several BUMN executives in Gresik.

Key Details from the Court’s Verdict

According to Judge Bagus, the legal elements required to prove the charges were clearly met. The court considered the case serious due to its potential impact on public morality and decency. However, certain mitigating factors were also taken into account, including the fact that both defendants are the main financial supporters of their families and had shown willingness to resolve the issue amicably.

The final verdict included:

  • 17 months in prison

  • A fine of IDR 30 million (around USD 1,850), or one additional month in jail if unpaid

This ruling aligns with the demands previously submitted by the public prosecutor, Paras. The court found the pair guilty under Article 29 in conjunction with Article 4(1), or Article 34 in conjunction with Article 8 of Law No. 44 of 2008 on Pornography.

Legal Options Still Open

Although the court has issued its decision, the ruling is not yet final. Both Viska and Ichlas have opted to “take time to consider” whether they will appeal or accept the verdict.

Their legal counsel expressed respect for the court’s decision but noted that further discussions with their clients and their families would determine the next steps.

Heartbroken Man in East Kalimantan Shares Intimate Video of Underage Ex-Girlfriend After Breakup, Faces Legal Consequences
Heartbroken Man in East Kalimantan Shares Intimate Video of Underage Ex-Girlfriend After Breakup, Faces Legal Consequences.

A shocking case of non-consensual video sharing involving a minor has come to light in East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. A young man, upset over a breakup, allegedly shared an intimate video of himself and his underage ex-girlfriend. The case was reported by the victim's family and is now under police investigation.

How the Case Was Discovered

According to Sangkulirang Police Chief Second Inspector Erik Bastian, the incident was brought to light when the victim’s father—identified as EZ—received a disturbing video through WhatsApp on Friday, June 14, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM local time. The video appeared to show a sexual act involving a girl who resembled his daughter.

When confronted, the girl broke down in tears and admitted to being in the video. She apologized to her parents and explained that the video had been recorded in 2023 when she was just 15 years old and in 10th grade.

Revenge After Breakup: Suspect Spreads the Video

The suspect, identified by initials MHS, is a 22-year-old private sector employee residing in the Bengalon District. Police believe he distributed the video out of spite after the girl ended their relationship. MHS reportedly threatened to release the video on social media if she left him—and later followed through on the threat.

"The motive was emotional distress after the breakup. He used the video as a means of revenge," said Inspector Erik Bastian.

Initially, MHS denied responsibility, but after thorough questioning and the presentation of strong evidence, he admitted to his actions.

Legal Action and Protection for the Victim

Because the victim is legally a minor, the case is being handled with the involvement of the Department of Women and Children’s Protection (DP3A). The victim is currently under parental care and professional supervision.

Police have charged the suspect under Article 81 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 76E of Indonesian Law No. 17 of 2016, which amends earlier child protection legislation. If convicted, the suspect could face up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to IDR 5 billion (approximately USD 310,000).

"The suspect was taken into custody last night. Police have also secured the video file from the suspect's mobile phone as evidence," the police chief added.

Sharing private content without consent, especially when it involves minors, is a serious criminal offense. The emotional, psychological, and legal consequences are severe for both the victim and the offender.

If you or someone you know is a victim of online abuse or exploitation, don’t hesitate to report it to local authorities or a child protection agency.

High School Student's Private Video Leak in Probolinggo Sparks Public Outcry for Justice and Legal Accountability
High School Student's Private Video Leak in Probolinggo Sparks Public Outcry for Justice and Legal Accountability.

The case of a leaked explicit video allegedly involving a high school girl from Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency, has gained massive public attention. The video was reportedly recorded without the girl’s consent and illegally shared. The scandal has not only shaken her school environment but also caused serious concern in the local community, especially since one of the names involved is the child of a village official.

The short clip shows a private moment of a 16-year-old girl, identified by the initials DV. Authorities believe the footage was secretly recorded and initially circulated among her classmates before spreading further and surfacing on TikTok in March.

Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway. Several students have already been questioned, including one male teenager believed to be the son of a local village chief.

"This case is being handled by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA). Since it involves a minor, we are proceeding with extreme caution," said Iptu Merdhania Pravita Shanty, the spokesperson for Probolinggo Police.

Despite the ongoing investigation, the community has started to voice frustration over the slow legal process. A local resident, identified as YY (30), mentioned five teenagers whose names are being circulated in the neighborhood: SN, EA, TR, LA, and RV. “I heard they’ve already been summoned by the police, but I still see them walking around near the stores,” she said.

The situation took a heartbreaking turn when DV reportedly ran away from home after the video went viral. Her grandfather, TRJ, said the family has been unable to contact her for several days.

“I just want to know she’s safe. She hasn’t come home and we have no idea where she is,” he said with a trembling voice, holding back tears.

The victim’s family is urging law enforcement to take firm action against those responsible for spreading the video. They believe this act not only humiliated DV but also left lasting psychological trauma on the family.

As of this writing, the public is still waiting for a firm move from the authorities. Many are hoping the investigation will proceed fairly and without bias—regardless of whether one of the suspects is a village official’s child. The community is calling for justice to be upheld and for such violations to never happen again.

Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs Emphasizes Service Culture During Visit to Denpasar Land Office to Improve Public Land Services in Bali.

Denpasar, Indonesia – In an effort to strengthen public land services in Indonesia, the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Deputy Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Ossy Dermawan, visited the Denpasar Land Office (Kantah Kota Denpasar) on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The visit served as a moment to reinforce the importance of a strong service culture among public servants, particularly those handling land administration.

Speaking before the Regional Heads of Land Offices across Bali Province, Deputy Minister Ossy highlighted that public service excellence must be the central mission of all local BPN offices.

“The Minister always reminds us that public service is the core of our responsibilities. Bali is globally known for its strong culture of hospitality. This spirit can be translated into our work culture. Simple gestures like serving the public with a smile go a long way,” said Ossy Dermawan.

Upholding Integrity in Land Services

Beyond service quality, Deputy Minister Ossy stressed the importance of upholding integrity within the land office system. He reminded all BPN employees across Bali to stay firm against any form of illegal levies or gratuities, which could damage public trust and the institution’s reputation.

“Avoid any behavior that could bring a negative image to the agency. We must build a positive and collaborative work culture. No internal competition—we are one team under the ATR/BPN flag. Take care of one another, regardless of position or division,” he emphasized.

Facility Checks and PELATARAN Weekend Land Service Program

During the visit, the Deputy Minister also inspected several key areas of the Denpasar Land Office, including:

  • Customer service counters opened as part of PELATARAN (Weekend Land Services);

  • The document archives room;

  • And the land book storage room.

He ensured that all facilities and infrastructure were in good condition and ready to provide optimal service to the public, especially during extended service hours on weekends.

Weekend Land Services Now Available: How Indonesia’s PELATARAN Program Helps Busy Citizens Manage Land Certificates on Saturdays and Sundays.

Jakarta – For many Indonesian citizens, managing land ownership documents can be challenging during busy weekdays. Recognizing this, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has introduced an innovative weekend land service called PELATARAN (Pelayanan Tanah Akhir Pekan) or Weekend Land Service, which allows people to access essential land-related services every Saturday and Sunday at selected Land Offices across the country.

What Is the PELATARAN Program?

Launched in 2022, PELATARAN was designed to help working individuals who can't visit Land Offices (Kantah) during regular business hours (Monday to Friday). With this weekend service, people now have greater flexibility to process land-related documents directly and conveniently.

Operating Hours:
08:00 AM – 12:00 PM (local time)

Important Note:
This service is available only to landowners who come in person—applications submitted by proxy are not accepted.

What Services Are Available During PELATARAN?

Through this program, citizens can access a variety of key land services, including:

  • Submission of land service requests and collection of completed documents

  • Services not yet available online

  • Electronic checks that must be submitted in person

  • Public information requests and complaints

These services are provided on-site to ensure quick and efficient processing.

Available at Over 100 Land Offices Nationwide

As of 2025, PELATARAN is available at 107 Land Offices (Kantah) throughout Indonesia. Citizens can check the full list of participating offices through the official link below:

Minister’s Statement on Weekend Land Services

On March 19, 2025, Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Nusron Wahid, emphasized that weekend services have become standard practice, especially in major cities.“We are used to serving the public every Sa

turday and Sunday, especially in urban areas. Since many people can only process their land certificates on weekends, I encourage everyone to take advantage of PELATARAN. It’s easy and convenient,” he said.

Why PELATARAN Matters

The PELATARAN program does more than just offer extra office hours—it reflects a strong commitment to bureaucratic reform and improved access to public services. By removing scheduling barriers, the government ensures that more people can exercise their land rights without taking time off work.

Conclusion: Use Your Weekend to Manage Land Documents with Ease

Thanks to PELATARAN, handling land certificate applications and other land-related services is no longer limited to weekdays. This strategic public service reform helps busy Indonesians stay on top of land administration while maintaining their weekday commitments.

Orbán Banned Budapest Pride, but the People Fought Back: “F*ck You, I Won’t Do What You Tell Me!”

Orbán Banned Budapest Pride, but the People Fought Back: “F*ck You, I Won’t Do What You Tell Me!”
Orbán Banned Budapest Pride, but the People Fought Back: “F*ck You, I Won’t Do What You Tell Me!”

Who says love can’t be an act of rebellion? In Budapest, Hungary, thousands of people flooded the streets to make one thing crystal clear: they won't just sit quietly when their rights are stripped away. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán officially banned the Budapest Pride Parade — but the people's response? A loud, unapologetic: "F*ck you, I won't do what you tell me!"

The crowd didn’t just protest for a few minutes — the march kept flowing for a solid hour and a half, long after the photo was taken that captured this historic moment. As one participant said, “It’s a day I’ll never forget.”

Does Orbán Really Hate LGBTQ+ People, or Is It Just Political Theater?

Orbán has built a reputation as an anti-LGBTQ+ hardliner, pushing conservative values and policies. But if you listen to the people online, many think it’s not really about ideology — it’s all politics. One Redditor, Wide-Annual-4858, said:

"Orbán doesn't have principles. He doesn't really care about gays, or liberalism, or NGOs, or even Soros. These are just political products for him to form the public opinion to stay in power as long as possible."

So yeah, not about morals — just a guy playing a dirty game of power and public manipulation.

Banned Pride? The People Respond with Fire and Humor

Social media was full of witty and biting responses. User SwingJugend joked:

"I hope other country leaders send Orbán congratulation letters for organizing such a big and successful pride parade. He must be gnashing his teeth by now."

Even though it was banned, Budapest Pride became louder, prouder, and even more visible. Turns out, when you try to silence people, you might just make them louder.

Privilege, Wealth, and the Unequal Fight for LGBTQ+ Rights

Some voices reminded us that not everyone faces the same struggle. User orbital_narwhal commented that rich, powerful people like Peter Thiel can shield themselves from discrimination with money, bodyguards, lawyers, and influence:

“If some self-proclaimed religious fanatic(s) start to harass him... he’ll just build a higher fence, hire bodyguards, and get prosecutors involved — something regular folks don’t have access to.”

This highlights a deeper truth: fighting for LGBTQ+ rights also intersects with class and privilege. Not everyone can afford to protect themselves in the same way.

This Isn’t Just Hungary — Slovakia Shows Similar Patterns

One user, Low-Cauliflower-7061, mentioned how Slovakia’s current president is widely known to be gay, yet was elected with support from conservative voters. Everyone knows, no one cares — at least not enough to stop him from winning.

It shows how people’s political choices aren’t always logical. Sometimes it’s about who they like, what they promise, or just voting against someone else — not necessarily about ideology.

The Takeaway: Love Is Political, and So Is Silence

Orbán’s ban on Budapest Pride didn’t stop anything. If anything, it made the movement stronger. People came out in full force and made it clear: "We won’t be silenced. We won't stop loving, and we won’t stop fighting."

And that’s the real story here: you can try to ban a parade, but you can’t stop a movement.

West Kalimantan Police Investigates Suspected Fake Engine Oil Warehouse in Kubu Raya — Public Urged to Stay Alert Against Counterfeit Products.

Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan — The West Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kalbar), through its Special Crime Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus), has conducted a follow-up crime scene investigation at a suspected fake engine oil storage facility located in the Ekstra Joss Warehouse Complex, Arteri Supadio Street, Kubu Raya.

This investigation is a continuation of a raid carried out by a joint task force on Friday, June 20. The operation involved multiple law enforcement agencies including Intel Kejati, BAIS, Intelmob, Polda Kalbar, and the Pontianak City Police. The team found several barrels and packages of engine oil suspected of being counterfeit, violating safety and brand standards.

Investigation Triggered by Official Complaint from Pertamina Lubricants

The investigation began after PT Pertamina Lubricants filed a complaint regarding the distribution of suspicious oil products in West Kalimantan. The report was officially registered on June 21, 2025, under the number LP/B/193/VI/2025/SPKT/POLDA KALBAR.

The complaint was submitted by Banan Prasetya, an intelligence officer at the West Kalimantan Prosecutor’s Office, focusing on intellectual property infringement and consumer protection violations.

Police Secured the Site with a Crime Scene Line

Shortly after the raid, police installed a crime scene line (police line) around the warehouse to secure evidence and prevent unauthorized access. On June 26, investigators returned to the site to inventory and separate the allegedly fake products from the genuine ones.

Each item was meticulously logged—covering product type, brand, quantity, and packaging—under the supervision of the warehouse guard and the complainant's representative.

Samples Sent for Forensic Testing

According to West Kalimantan Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno, samples of the suspected fake engine oil have been sent to the Indonesian Police Forensic Laboratory (Labfor Polri) for detailed chemical analysis.

“The West Kalimantan Police has officially opened a criminal case. Investigators are currently identifying, classifying, and verifying the products on-site. Laboratory testing is underway,” said Bayu, as quoted from ruai.tv.

Public Urged to Report If Affected by Counterfeit Oil Products

Commissioner Bayu also encouraged consumers who may have used or purchased fake engine oil to report immediately.

“Anyone who feels harmed by counterfeit oil products is urged to come forward and report to Polda Kalbar. We are committed to fully uncovering and resolving this case,” he emphasized.

Why This Case Matters for Consumers

Fake engine oil doesn’t just violate brand rights—it puts vehicle safety and performance at risk. Counterfeit oil can damage engines, shorten vehicle lifespan, and potentially lead to serious road accidents. It also misleads consumers and causes financial loss.

This case is a wake-up call for the public to always verify product authenticity. Buy only from official, verified outlets, and double-check labels and seals to ensure you're getting the real deal.

The investigation into a suspected counterfeit oil warehouse in West Kalimantan highlights the urgent need for stricter enforcement and public awareness around counterfeit automotive products. The proactive steps taken by West Kalimantan Police deserve recognition and show strong commitment to consumer safety and brand protection.

If you suspect you've purchased fake engine oil, report immediately. Your action could help prevent further harm and support the crackdown on illegal oil distribution networks.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture Uncovers Massive Rice Fraud: Consumer Losses Estimated at IDR 99 Trillion Due to Quality and Pricing Manipulation

Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture Uncovers Massive Rice Fraud: Consumer Losses Estimated at IDR 99 Trillion Due to Quality and Pricing Manipulation
Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture Uncovers Massive Rice Fraud: Consumer Losses Estimated at IDR 99 Trillion Due to Quality and Pricing Manipulation.

Indonesia is experiencing its highest rice production in 57 years, with a national rice stock of 4.15 million tons. But despite this surplus, the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementerian Pertanian/Kementan) has identified alarming irregularities in rice distribution and pricing across major provinces.

Minister of Agriculture stated that field inspections conducted in 10 major provinces revealed mismatches in rice quality, packaging weight, and prices far above the HET (Harga Eceran Tertinggi or Maximum Retail Price). These findings raised serious concerns over widespread fraudulent practices in rice trade.

Alarming Findings: Over 85% of Premium Rice Fails Quality Standards

Joint investigations conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, National Food Agency, Food Task Force, Attorney General’s Office, and Police Force collected and tested 268 rice samples from markets in ten provinces. The results were staggering:

  • Premium Rice:

    • 85.56% failed to meet quality standards

    • 59.78% were sold above the maximum retail price (HET)

    • 21.66% had inaccurate packaging weights

  • Medium Rice:

    • 88.24% failed quality standards

    • 95.12% exceeded the HET pricing

    • 9.38% had incorrect weight labeling

These results indicate a systemic issue of mislabeling and pricing fraud in the rice supply chain, ultimately harming Indonesian consumers.

Estimated Consumer Losses Reach IDR 99.35 Trillion

Based on the investigation, total potential losses to consumers are estimated at a shocking Rp99.35 trillion (approximately USD 6.1 billion). This figure highlights the economic scale of the problem and underlines the urgency of regulatory action.

To ensure accuracy, the Ministry used 13 certified laboratories across the ten inspected provinces for quality and weight verification. This step ensures that data is both scientifically valid and legally sound.

Targeted Areas of Inspection: From Jabodetabek to South Sulawesi

The rice inspection was conducted in high-traffic distribution points such as:

  • Cipinang Rice Wholesale Market (PIBC), Jabodetabek

  • Traditional markets and rice vendors in South Sulawesi, Aceh, Lampung, South Kalimantan

  • Sumatra (North and South), Central Java, East Java, Yogyakarta, and West Java

This broad scope gives a comprehensive view of how deeply rooted the irregularities are across Indonesia’s rice supply network.

Government's Warning to Business Operators: 14 Days to Comply

The Ministry of Agriculture issued a strict warning to all rice producers and distributors: fix any violations within 14 days or face strict legal consequences.

"Starting today, we expect all businesses to stop selling rice above the HET. If violations persist, we will take legal action," said the Agriculture Minister.

This statement reinforces the government’s commitment to restoring fair market practices and protecting consumer rights.

What This Means for Indonesian Consumers

The exposed rice fraud scandal is more than just a case of corporate misconduct — it affects millions of Indonesians who rely on rice as their daily staple. This issue touches:

  • Consumer protection: people deserve to get what they pay for

  • Food quality assurance: rice must meet health and safety standards

  • Price transparency: fair pricing practices must be enforced

A Call for Reform in Indonesia’s Rice Market

The Ministry of Agriculture's crackdown on rice fraud marks a major step toward transparent and accountable food supply chains in Indonesia. With enforcement efforts now underway, businesses are expected to follow the rules — or be prepared to face the consequences.

For consumers, this serves as a wake-up call to demand transparency, and for regulators, a challenge to keep improving food surveillance systems nationwide.

Illegal Firearms Workshop Raided in Lampung: Police Uncover Modified Airsoft Guns and Arrest Three Suspects in Bandar Lampung Crackdown

Illegal Firearms Workshop Raided in Lampung: Police Uncover Modified Airsoft Guns and Arrest Three Suspects in Bandar Lampung Crackdown.

The Lampung Regional Police (Polda Lampung) successfully dismantled an illegal firearms assembly workshop operating in a residential area in Pinang Jaya Subdistrict, Kemiling District, Bandar Lampung. The raid, which took place on June 13, 2025, led to the arrest of three male suspects believed to be directly involved in the illicit firearms operation.

Modified Airsoft Guns Turned Into Deadly Weapons

According to Lampung Police Chief, Inspector General Helmy Santika, officers discovered three airsoft guns that had been converted into functioning firearms. The conversion process involved specialized tools and components typically used in illegal firearm manufacturing.

“During the search, we found three airsoft guns that had been modified into real firearms, along with various tools used in the manufacturing process,” said Santika, as reported by HaluanIndonesia on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

The modification technique involved altering the internal components of airsoft guns so they could fire live ammunition, making them indistinguishable from real weapons in terms of damage capability.

“These airsoft guns were modified to fire live rounds. Although they look like regular airsoft replicas, they function as deadly firearms,” Santika added.

Three Suspects Arrested: Each with a Specific Role

Police identified the three suspects by their initials:

  • RK – served as the primary weapon assembler and seller.

  • A – acted as a small-scale ammunition distributor.

  • ABT – was responsible for producing and supplying ammunition.

Each of the suspects had a clearly defined role in what appears to be a well-structured underground operation. Authorities are currently conducting further investigations to uncover possible distribution networks and links to broader illegal arms trafficking syndicates.

Police Crackdown on Homemade Firearms in Indonesia

This incident has raised serious concerns about the spread of homemade weapons in Indonesia, particularly those disguised as airsoft guns. The Lampung Police emphasized their commitment to combating all forms of illegal weapons manufacturing and distribution to maintain public safety.

“We are determined to eliminate any threat to public safety caused by the circulation of illegal firearms, and we will not hesitate to take firm legal action,” said Chief Santika.

Law enforcement agencies across Indonesia continue to face challenges with the increasing use of 3D printing, imported airsoft components, and online marketplaces that facilitate the spread of illegal weapon parts.

Public Vigilance Key to Preventing Weapon Crimes

The successful operation by the Lampung Police serves as a wake-up call about the dangers of illegal firearms. Community involvement and vigilance play a critical role in identifying suspicious activities. Residents are encouraged to report any unusual behavior or suspected illegal operations to their local police authorities.
